It is going to go on for months. It has to. We have a holiday booked in Whitby for the end of May but I doubt that we will actually go, for whatever reason.
Our Sainsbury's local was stripped of white wine yesterday.
That doesn't surprise of affect me, but it does show what complete knee jerkery some people have sunk into.

I received a text from the Dr's informing me that as I am in an "at risk" group I should not visit the surgery and from now on will be given a call-back phone appointment when necessary, and also that my repeat prescriptions will be delivered. No end date. Seems sensible advice TBH.

I was talking to #1 son and some of their local shops are doing emergency service only times so he and his wife can, at least, get food and essentials.

On the lock down thing, yesterday Italy was in day 13 of their lock down. They recorded the highest rise in both new cases and deaths. Any government looking for good news before removing the lockdown is going to have to wait at least 6 weeks after the lockdown.

One of my cousins runs a ski centre on the French/Swiss border. It has been ordered to shut. Yesterday 500, Yes, 500, people arrived on flights intending to Ski. He spent the whole day arranging hotels and return flights for them.

I've just had a bit of a cry, as D will almost certainly be one of the 1.5 million people "strongly advised" to completely self-isolate, and I hate to think of her shut in her house for three months, all alone! We've set up WhatsApp groups for the family - there's nothing else we can do! She's being stoic, but I know she's dreading it.

Kaz my sister is the same, it's so horrible :(

Well we are self isolating, on advice from Donna and her superior today, given Tom's cough. He has no other symptoms but we have both been told not to leave the house for at least 14 days.....I can see me being done for murder as he is NOT a patient patient!! Our one saving grace is that at least we have each other, I feel awful for D and M (my sister) who have no-one. I'll try and set her up on Skype, she has spent some of the last few days on the phone to various friends and relatives so this might be a better idea, at least she'll see faces :)

Thank you for the kind words, I feel very lucky to have such lovely people here (((((x)))))

Oh Gal! Very sensible to self-isolate now, and as you say, you have each other ((((((((x))))))))

I feel sorry for those like your sister - and D - stuck in on their own :( Thank goodness for technology like Skype and WhatsApp!
