Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 27 Mar 2020, 06:53

Good morning.

Nice again. 8-)

Seeing as my lady wot does is still out of bounds  I'll be doing some delicate dusting and wrestling with the vacuum.

It was 30 years ago today Don and I flew to Jamaica with the notion of maybe getting married when we were there.

I was going through my box of 'stuff' a few days ago and came across the menu from our BA flight...right posh it was.

Have a decent day all.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Started out a lovely, sunny morning, but has clouded over in the last half hour  Should be a warm ish day though.

We will do the strimming today. The weeds are taking over the "lawn" and although it's very pretty, it's now looking untidy. As long as I can get Grumpy's weed wacker going, we'll both strim. He can't pull the cord too much, it pulls the very slowly on the mend muscle.

It's our friends funeral this morning and speaking to friends who had been intending to go, it's going to be a very small affair, nothing like the rip roaring wake it should have been. I'll break my no alcohol rule tonight and raise a beer to him.

Jose Felipe will be up later, with the eggs and they will be left on the outside table, I'll leave t he money for him there roo. Jan came up yesterday - as far as the gate - and left some cake for us  As the gate is 250 m away from the door, she said she wanted to make sure we were being good and isolating ourselves

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing x

Enjoy the cake Jan. Ally, let the hoover know who's boss!
Eliza is here bless her. Her dad isn't well (though still working) with stomach cramps.
We don't need anything so won't be going anywhere. That really gets to me; I'll be climbing the walls in two weeks!
Have a good day all.

Morning all,

It is bright, sunny and COLD here in France.

I woke this morning to a confirmation that a private jet is available to get my son into Buenos Aires. All paperwork and authorisation has been done for the flight including authority to carry my son. I need to contract, pay and get my son to the airport.

Yesterday a judge ordered that he had to "go home". Something not possible in a foreign city with all the hotels closed to foreigners and a mobile phone running out of power, stuck at the bus station where they dumped him, with no charging point.

The embassy came up trumps one more time and got him an apartment in a closed hotel. They left the key in the door for him and he still doesn't know how he's going to pay for it or how much it will cost.

Fingers crossed that he will not be blocked from getting on the flight. Once they start the outbound flight the cancellation is mine and I am out the total fee.

Now I just need the job I'm in process of getting to complete so I can pay for it.

He's lucky to have a dad like you Suff. Fingers crossed he makes the flight.

Morning all, it is overcast here but yesterday turned out a gorgeous day, so hopefully today will be the same. Today we plan a socially distant picnic with Michael and Kellie in a field near their house, at their request. They are being so good, although Michael is finding the isolation from friends and sporting activities very hard, at least when he is out with Edward he is running around, climbing trees etc., while Kellie floats through it all like the little princess she is  I ironed three shirts yesterday, might do a few more.

It is hard for the children isn't it Osc? This is such an unnatural situation for everyone, but especially for them.

It sure is, Crommers - Michael is bright and aware of what is going on but is also a little worrier, so anything than can let him be a little boy has to be good.
