The rain has now stopped, but more to come :Hi:

The lamb is now in the freezer - how I managed to get it all in, I have no idea

Osc, surely you're allowed out to shop?

Afternoon all :D

Lovely and sunny again 8-)

Still very impressed with Sainsbury, they're putting up daily slots for everyone on the priority list, we get one delivery per week so will be getting fresh food again this Thursday. Wonder if there will be any bizarre substitutes lol

It's lovely to have neighbours willing to help Saundra. We're also lucky, our neighbour works for Tesco as a picker for home deliveries and has said if we need anything she will bring it home for us, very kind. So far so good though, we haven't needed to ask.

Just pottering today, might get out in the garden for more tidying later.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Good afternoon. A quiet day, light wind and sunny intervals, but still chilly and we have the C/H on.

Chopped up our last remaining elderly vegetables and they're currently simmering away on the hob in our latest version of Ossie's lentil soup. Otherwise, apart from fielding telephone calls from stir-crazy friends and relatives, we're not doing much else today. I might try a supermarket shop towards the end of the week to get in another batch of fresh staples (fruit, veg, milk, bread, chocolate ;) ) but need to think whether I try the opening hour "oldies' time" or leave it until the afternoon when it might be quieter .....

Take care, all!

Osc,

I am 85. We are self isolating. There has been no mention that o70s have to stay indoors.
I walk for the paper. The newsagent is about 200 yards away. He also sells food so he can stay open.
Not seen the postman today. Am expecting a small parcel, something I bought online. Have seen the post office union only want deliveries on three days each week. So may be it has started.
Will have to go on Thursday to colect mrs.e's prescription. There was one item missing when I went to the chemist on Monday.

Nope. Someone can shop for you and leave it at the door. We’ve now got some online grocery delivery slots and Miss Osc has been getting stuff locally for us, which she did today. We open the door and stand well back, so we at least can have a chat. This is “strong advice” from our government and stays in place until 12th April. Who knows what will happen after that.

Thanks kaz it's causing such distress to older people
People especially when you can't have contact with family and grandchildren
I have a horrible feeling it's going to go on far longer than that but let's hope not
