Good Morning Monday

Postby JanB » 06 Apr 2020, 07:03

Morning everyone

A mix of sunshine, clouds and rain today. Rather warm at 21C 8-)

Inside stuff again it is then  Far too wet outside although I might take a wander down the track and see if I can find the key for their gate and have a roam around the garden, admiring the weeds

Made a good start on the 2000 piece jigsaw, so will carry on with that, reading and stripping the chickens down.

Have as good a day as you can everyone xx

Morning all. I'm glad you are getting some much needed rain Jan. Saundra if you feel like stopping in bed you stop in bed! Careful with the Zumba Kaz, don't go straining a fetlock! ;)
Groundhog day here again. MrsC to her dad's soon.
Last weekend Sergio gave us some pasta that he had made himself from scratch. Honestly, it was the best I've ever tasted. So we gave him a bottle of wine out of the stuff we had delivered. He's been a bit down lately. He's in the at risk group for certain and he loves to get out and about, which obviously he hasn't been able to do.
A nice morning here sunny and bright, but still with that cool breeze we can't seem to shake.
Have a good day all.

Morning all :D

We've had rain showers, more promised but it seems to be brightening now.

Don't think we'll get far today, not even the garden. Boots were due to deliver meds last Friday afternoon, I waited until just after 5pm before chasing them and amazingly someone actually picked up the phone. The pharmacy apologised, didn't know what had happened but they still had the prescription sitting on a shelf, it's supposed to come this afternoon. It's not urgent so no harm done.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Afternoon all, it’s a lovely day here and we are sitting out in the sun. I’ve had a busy enough morning, my gp phoned as I need her to fill in a form for our travel claim. The insurance company had sent me the form so I needed to figure out how to isolate the form from the rest of the insurance company stuff, which I managed to do and send it off, so was rather pleased with myself. Then I did a gentle workout based on my gym exercises, which went well. I plan to do it every day that I would normally go to the gym. I have phoned the consultant’s secretary who said she has not spoken to him since the meeting on Friday but that she will get back to me as soon as she has information for me.

Good afternoon. Clouding over here after a sunny start.

Thoughts for your upcoming telephone call, Osc. No news is good news?

Rudely awaked this morning by a telephone call from Master O asking for advice about writing wills and critical illness insurance! :o Goodness knows what sort of premiums they would charge for the latter given he's on the NHS frontline. The flat removal from Mitcham to Polegate went off without any major problems over the weekend and they both start at the A&E in Eastborne Hospital tomorrow. The normal 4 day's induction has been slashed to 2 days and deferred a while as they are needed on duty ASAP ….. He is picking up his uniform today. PiL will be babysitting G/S which is ideal.

Then the window cleaner called (3 weeks overdue, but still going! )

Wandered up to the OneStop shop and I must say they are far more organised than Waitrose - a cleaning station as you go in for your basket, hopscotch on the floor two metres apart, everyone playing nicely. Was primarily after milk but also managed to source a 50/50 loaf, washing up liquid, bagged apples, carrots and mixed veg, and that most essential of supplies, a box of Dairy Milk for Easter. :P  Half a dozen customers in the shop, but I hardly saw anyone else out.

We've just prepared our weekly saucepan of soup which is quietly simmering on the hob. That's it for today!

Stay safe, all ....

Afternoon all - well I ducked out of the supermarket, honestly I'm so stupid, I'm scared to go among 'the public'....I've made out a list, and I'll try again tomorrow but failing that, Tom will call on his way home from work. I'm really cross that he has to work, I can't see how he is classed as a key worker, but so be it. I just hope he doesn't pick up the virus as I don't think, given his chest history, that it would end well....:(

Anyway it is windy (again) and sunny, so I have been busy doing little jobs around the house this morning and have just got back from my hour's exercise, a walk round and about the village, dodging people as best as possible! I did hope to be able to sit out in the garden with my kindle but it's too cold/windy for that today - perhaps tomorrow?

Keep safe all x

Good afternoon all, it’s a mixed day here; sunshine and quite heavy showers.

We’ve had a busy and messy weekend decorating Joe’s room. John and Joe have done the painting while I’ve been tearing my hair out trying to work around the mess everywhere. Joe had a huge sort out in there and Tom decided to sort through his room too so the floor of the usually tidy garage is half filled with bags of rubbish and half filled with charity shop donations, and of course the tip’s not open and neither are the charity shops. I can probably get a couple of bags of rubbish in the household bin every fortnight (I’ve put some in to be collected tomorrow) as we only ever half fill it but who knows if bin collections may stop?
We moved the double bed, which we bought last Summer, from the spare room and put it in Joe’s and his single bed has gone in there. Shannon sleeps in there alone when she stays (really, it’s not us being naive) so there’s no real need for a double and it did quite fill the room, it looks much better with just a single in there. Anyway, I’ve moved the last of the rubbish into the garage today and shampooed the carpets in Joe’s room and the rest of the top floor.

Gal, I know what you mean! I could do with popping to town tomorrow and I think I’ll go early and head straight to Home Bargains and come straight back home, I haven’t been for two weeks and among other things I need some of Bill’s treats if they’ve got them (Tesco keep going out of stock).
