Good morning Wednesday

Postby meriad » 15 Apr 2020, 06:18

Good morning all - another beautiful sunny (but nippy) start to the day; promising to be quite a bit warmer than the past two days though. All in all makes this lock-down so much more bearable :D OK still have to work but hey sitting at a dining table listening to birds chirping outside; it's good for me :D But realise I'm super lucky that I have what I have to keep me busy and entertained

Another day of random pootling - need to drop off some eggs to a few neighbours and contacting someone about some plants but that's about it. Going to go through flower seeds and see what - if anything can still be sown. And then this evening off to the allotment for a bit; just to do some more weeding and pulling up of grass clumps.

Have a lovely day everyone; and as always - stay safe

PS: oh and if any of you have seen the thing about lighting chinese lanterns this Thursday to show appreciation for the NHS - please please please don't! They are so pretty to look at for all of 2 minutes (if that) and then they cause untold damage to our animals and countryside. And it's been so darn dry that many are bound to start a fire wherever they land. I hate those things, I really do

Morning Ria.

All ok here in Lockdown Land. :D

Plenty of reading and swimming.

I'm going to Mercadona this morning....I last went out there on Saturday and got stopped and questioned by the Guardia Civil. They're certainly doing their job.

Keep safe everyone.

Good morning everybody.
Lovely blue skies and lts of sunshine.

Have walked for the paper. Also bought a loaf of bread. Mrs.e likes to feed the birds. Have had robins on the lawn a well as sparrows and blackbirds.

We are having our new wills brought to us today so we can sign them. We sent drafts to the solicitor ten days ago by email. Got a draft back last Thursday.
Made one small change. Their office is closed and are working from home. Not sure how they will witness it. Possibly stand outside and look through the window while we sign.
Had to do it as we have made several changes to the previous will.

Just pootling again .
Have a good day everybody

Good morning all, it’s another sunny yet frosty one but forecast to warm up.

I took Bill out extra early today because I’d booked a Tesco delivery for between 8 and 12 and they’re sometimes a bit earlier than they estimate so I wanted to be back by 7.30. The actual one hour time slot came through while we were on our way home just after 7 and it’s not coming until between 11 and 12

Al, I’m jealous of you reading. I can seem to concentrate on a book at the moment, it’s well over a month since I last read anything :?

Have a good day all xxx

Jo... I'm amazed I can lose myself in a book at the moment given all that's going on but very grateful that I can. :D

Morning everyone

Blowy here, with a lot of cloud and although we have some sun, we're expecting more rain sometime today :Hi: Warm though 8-)

Heading into Ourique later, for shopping. Hopefully Pingo won't be too busy. Need to go to the hardware shop, will need to queue outside, probably, but at least Grumpy will be able to go in. He's still banned from Pingo. And need to go to the chemist too, to get the last of our prescriptions.

Back to pootling. I like pootling, but am really waiting for better weather, so can get on the garden a bit more. Some of the broad bean plants needs pulling up, so I can find which one' are still producing.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

And I really couldn't do without a book or two on the go.

Sunny here today and expected to warm up later.
MrsC is baking some buns for Eliza's birthday tomorrow and yesterday I assembled the doll's house that we have bought for her.
I'm not sure yet how we are going to get it up to theirs.
I've been ok with lockdown so far but it is starting to drag now.
Have a good day all.

Morning all, it’s gorgeous here and much warmer than yesterday. I’ll be doing my exercises this morning before spending some time sitting out reading. There are winter clothes ready to go in the attic, we need to do our grocery order and I’ll do some ironing - the day isn’t long enough  Four weeks today since my surgery and I’m feeling great, still a bit sore but nothing unbearable.

Cruiser, our daughter is a solicitor, she says there is a noticeable rise in people making/amending wills and doing it through the window is the main way signing is being done.

I don't know if I mentioned this but MrsC's Uncle Jud died in his sleep last week, in a care home. The problem is that there is no death certificate. The care home say they registered him with a local GP practice, the practice say they did not. So no doctor attended when he died. Something for his executor, MrsC's Uncle Harry to sort out.
Atm the funeral is on Tuesday 28th but obviously that might change.
