Good Morning Friday

Postby JanB » 17 Apr 2020, 04:35

Morning everyone

Dark but mild with thunderstorms forecast.

Thought it was half six, not had a good nights sleep, so got up to find it's half five

Between the showers and thunderstorms, I'm planning on pulling up the broad bean plants that are no longer producing. Also need to dead head the carnations. And I'm dead chuffed that we have red one's now too :D

Must get my head into that jigsaw too, even if it's just to get rid of it and we can have the table back.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Jan, morning everyone.

Bright start here, a few clouds but warm.

Our friends in Portugal have been having horrendous weather Jan. They've had loads of rain the past few weeks and their kitchen actually got flooded. :o

Reading, swimming and yesterday I put a jigsaw app on my tablet which, to my surprise, I'm absolutely loving. And it leaves my table free.

GB Menu tonight and the Masterchef final. :D

Have a good day everyone.

Morning you two, morning everyone

I love puzzles but just don't have the space at the moment, not with half the dining table being taken up with my laptop and spare monitor. And now that lockdown is confirmed for another three weeks I'm going to get a proper keyboard vs using the laptop one; just makes it a lot easier but that means even less space - ho humm.

Windy and overcast here today with the odd shower promised and dare I say, it will be much appreciated becaue it is so dry. I have a very sandy soil so have this layer of dirt covering the floor; everytime I or the cats walk in and out (and we do that a lot) the sand just comes in with us. I've ordered more grass seed and hopefully will be able to relawn some very bald areas but think I have to bite the bullet and put down paving slabs as well because it's the bit where I walk to get to the chickens and the greenhouse so well trodden.

Other than that not much going on today; just the usual pootling about.

have a lovely day everyone x

Has been rather wet and windy Ally, but better weather is on it's way. And we never say no to rain.

Brightened up now, even got some sunshine 8-)

Good morning all. Another bright and sunny morning here, hopefully it will warm up later but we still have that sneaky cool wind.
I hope you manage to sleep better Jan, I'm hate a bad night's sleep. Wish we had your weather Ally (though ours is improving!).
Ria, how are your cats keeping? Saundra is your steam cleaner useful?
Groundhog day here again. MrsC and sis off to their dad's, I'll be sitting on the bench at the front.
I grew up in a pit village; sometimes the old miners would sit on their front doorsteps in the good weather, smoking a woodbine and wearing their string vest. Funny what comes back to you.
Now, where can I get a string vest from?

Morning all, it’s a very nice morning here, we went out for a walk before breakfast. Not sure what I’ll do today.

Morning all,

We had a thunderstorm last night, I slept through it but Mrs S was up.

I've been building, today I'm taking a morning off and cutting some wood up later before getting ready to empty and clean the pool.

Some PC time right now then back to it. I'm looking over my ebook collection. Safe to say I won't get through that in 7 lifetimes but it does need a bit of sorting. I'm re reading the Outlander series right now ready for the final book arriving some time this year.

Have a good, safe, day all.

They're good Crommers; I think they're pleased I'm home but then they sleep most of the day anyway so who knows... :D It's quite funny when we have group video calls, there's usually one somewhere in the back ground, trying to walk over the keyboard :D

I have one and wouldn't want to be without. Because of the cats I tend to spray some diluted Zoflora onto the floor before I steam it; just as an additional level of clean and disinfect; and it smells nice. But if you don't have pets and don't need that extra level then another tip is to use ironing water; not only because it doesn't contain lime scale but also has a pleasant scent. When I use ironing water I dilute half half with normal water.
