Morning all, it’s a sunny one after a rainy day yesterday.

I walked Billy earlier, there were so many people around though and it was quite stressful. I’m used to going into the woods and barely seeing anyone. The advice from various organisations is to keep your dog on it’s lead to prevent contact with people and other dogs (I guess that the virus can be carried on their fur and passed on that way). Bill walks off lead but I always put him back on as soon as I see anyone, and he’s so good at coming straight back to me that it’s not a problem...yet just one example from today, I was standing as far into some bushes at the side of the path as I could, with him in his lead, waiting for a couple to pass by while their dog came and lay on his back ON my feet and the woman said that he only wanted to play. Oh well that’s fine then

Crommers, it’s crazy isn’t it?!

Ally, sending you lots of love. The video call sounds like a very good idea xx

Stay safe and well everyone xxx
Much love to you all

Crommers my son is a range manager they are allowed to open because they sell some food items pet food and medicine
Problem is General public are buying plants diy well every thing to keep them occupied at home
Plus it's a nightmare for staff who are involved in tension with customer a range staff member was head butted last week and a manager thumped
What if they had a knife in there hand I worry about him working and his partner is also there
I think all diy stores could be open and garden centres for the public to use plus like everyone else who are working they are open to this virus

Afternoon everyone :)

I was in the middle of posting when Mick switched off the broadband  He ordered a new telly in the week, as our main one in the living room was slowly getting a darker and darker picture - clearly giving up the ghost - and now is NOT the time to be without :cute:  The picture is soooo much better on this one :D

I popped up to the Co-op as we were low on milk, and picked up a few trays of not bad looking pansies! Yaay! My poor baskets look so bare! I ordered some geranium plants a fortnight ago, but who knows when they'll turn up :? Washing on the line, in the sunshine, and another load of jeans and cut-offs on the go. It's a beautiful day, ideal drying weather, although my Nan would never have approved of washing on the line on a Sunday ;)

Great to see you Ally :D Waves to everyone! xxxx

Tom has gone for a walk on his own, it's a good idea as we walk separately, just to have a bit of alone time. I may or may not go for mine later, we have a family quiz planned via Zoom (although not heard any more about it yet) so looking forward to that.

Gorgeous day and my towels have just finished so on the line they will go.

Yes I think as The Range sells so many diverse things, paint and wallpaper, garden stuff etc, many will head there for projects to do whilst at home.

Morning all :D

Nice and sunny here, but a bit breezy.

(((Ally))) can't believe how time has flown, glad you can have a video get together today.

Good advice Jan, definitely take it easy and rest your back.

Saundra that sounds very sensible. People need things to do at the moment and being able to do some gardening and/or DIY has to be good. My eldest daughter has taken advantage of not having a houseful of grandchildren every day by giving her house a makeover. Surely that has to be better than sitting around feeling anxious.

What tv did you get Kaz, we've been thinking about getting a new one. It will probably have to wait a bit though as we've just forked out for a new tumble dryer which hopefully turns up tomorrow as promised.

Not much happening, we're having roast chicken for dinner and raspberry blancmange and jelly for pud. We'll be opening a bottle of bubbly to go with it 8-)

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Good afternoon! Warm and sunny here.

Lazy morning, then lamb chops with leeks, gravy and mint sauce for lunch. No potatoes! After washing up, we went for a walk - it was fine in the country park where we could go on the grass to avoid others - especially a dog walker who was using one of those throw-ball sticks for his two springer spaniels; one throw came perilously close to us, so we had to take avoiding action. We were then going to extend our walk up a country lane to loop back round to home, but we soon found there was a lot of foot traffic and cyclists on it, so we cut that short and dived up a very narrow public footpath back into our estate. Luckily no-one else was coming down the footpath .... Relaxing now with a cuppa and the fruits of yesterday's baking.

Saundra, I was a bit surprised that all our garden centres locally have closed and are just doing pre-ordered deliveries. I'd have certainly thought that they could have set up some sort of drop in and collect system, say put some trestles in front of the store in the car park, one to place your order, one to pay your money, and one to collect your plants from, having been brought out from the back by the staff. Better than all their stuff going to waste, but then what do I know?

Hopethe bathroom cleaning went well, Osc! :D
