Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 26 Apr 2020, 05:40

Good morning.

Nice again. 8-)

Cossie on for my morning swim.

There will be some reading involved in my day.

From tomorrow children up to the age of 13 are being allowed out to play as long as they stay close to their homes, have an adult with them and follow the social distancing rules. This can be done from 9am to 9pm.

It was announced last night if all goes well that from May 2 the public will be allowed out for an hour for exercise. Again, following the distancing rules.

When I heard that I actually woop wooped loudly.

Lockdown has been so strict here. I've really missed the freedom to just go out willy nilly for aerobic exercise.

We are lucky in that we have huge garden space and the pool and I've not felt 'trapped' as it were.

But I'll tell you this...all being well on May 2 my trainers are going on and I'm going for a wonderful, wonderful run.

We've got roast chicken for dinner and I'm going to make something lemony for dessert. :D

Have a good day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Clouds and sun this morning and yet again, we are expecting a thunderstorm. Still waiting for the first one

Will pop down to tour nice neighbours later and water the plants that need it, might stretch our legs a bit and go a little further.

We'll be told next week what is going to happen Ally. Enjoy your run when you can :D

Roast lamb for dinner. I had to google it, been many years since we had a leg of lamb.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Ally, Jan and Saundra - morning everyone

a glorious day here; about to head to the allotment and another day of pootling and go for a walk.

Apparently Boris Johnson is about to take up the reigns again and on the news this morning they were saying that apparently people within his party (and others) said the government needs to come up with a plan to get the economy moving again. Will be interesting what they decide and how hey implement it; but I agree that things need to change / happen.

Have a lovely Sunday all, stay safe x

Morning all. I wish we were having lamb.
Sis in law has just used our washing line to hang some washing out. It looks like a good drying day.
The trees are all coming into leaf now, it is a glorious sight.
We have a small packet of ciabatta flour, I'll bake some breadcakes later.
The petrol station had some hand sanitiser yesterday, which was a bonus. What wasn't a bonus was to buy a Daily Telegraph from them only to find that half of it was missing, including the puzzles1
Have a good day all.

Good morning all, it’s sunny at the moment but showers are forecast for later.

I started the day with a lovely 90 minute walk with Billy which included a wander through the bluebell wood down by the golf course. Next I have to dry my hair, I’ve done a deep conditioning treatment this morning, I’m trying to take extra care with it seeing as it was due to be cut in two weeks but who knows when that’ll happen now.

Much love to you all xx

Jo, my daughter's dog Dobby is a Cockerpoo who needs a regular clip - which he hasn't had because of lockdown! He looks like a hairy rug now.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

Yesterday stayed dull and chilly, hoping today's sun lasts and we get some time in the garden.

Roast chicken for dinner later, chocolate blancmange with orange jelly for pud.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Afternoon all, I was in bed last night when I realised I didn’t post yesterday  It is quite dull here today but we have had a lovely walk through the grounds of the local castle/golf course - it has been sold for development but apparently the many rights of way will be honoured. It is well known for its rhododendrons which are blooming now and look beautiful, plus the blossom trees are in full flower - isn’t nature wonderful. No real plan for the rest of the day, laundry, knitting, and Miss Osc says she might pop down as Michael and Kellie want to see us, thank goodness for dry weather as they can stand outside the open door and we stay well back inside. May 5th is our next date for updating of restrictions, but because people are not sticking to them, there might not be much relaxation which is so annoying as the minority ruin it for the majority.

Afternoon everyone :)

Quite a pleasant day here so far - Mick and I had a wander up to the M&S garage nearby, to buy a newspaper. I've made an oaty rhubarb crumble for later, but first managed to boil over the rhubarb pan, then spill sugar all over the floor  Nigella never has these problems :?

Ally, that's great news about your lockdown being eased a little :D
