Good afternoon ….. cheered up a bit after a dull start. Some light rain forecast here for the next three days.

Love those Roadrunner cartoons, Jo, so inventive and totally off the wall!
Yes, enjoy your salad, Saundra. We can get boxes delivered but they're a shade pricey.
Osc, you'd probably be done by the police over here under our lockdown rules if you took a picnic out on your walk. In fact some eejits did just that over the weekend in South Dorset, set up a barbecue in Puddletown Forest and managed to set fire to a few acres of gorse and heath - it's tinder dry over here. Appliances from 7 fire stations had to attend.

Visited the pharmacy just after lunch to pick up our monthly 'scrips and I must say they were far more organised than previously. An assistant was coming out, going down the queue, and taking the names of those just collecting repeat medicines. They were then brought out and distributed en-masse - in consequence the turn around time was much quicker than having to go into the shop one by one.

Latest batch of soup currently simmering on the stove - that's tea sorted!
Regards to all!

I'm so excited as I have managed to procure a Morrisons home delivery for...……….May 17th!!! Still I can wait until nearer the time to place my order, I have never shopped at Morrisons before as we don't have one nearby, but I saw a van this morning locally and figured - why not?

Hasn't it been lovely today? unexpectedly so, I thought the forecast was poor.

Anyway I have done a 6 and a half mile walk today - just around the village and into the next one (and not the same as yesterday! I guess we just have a lot of nice walks around our village) - today I was on a mission, to collect some twigs to make a picture, so I took a carrier and filled it as I walked - it was gorgeous, Simpsons sky and a light breeze, my legs ache now but hopefully they will have recovered for tomorrow's outing, if the weather is nice enough. Done some ironing and changed the spare room bed, so the sheets are blowing on the line now.

Tom went back in to work but was home just after me at 2pm, nothing booked in. What a surprise, and he was so excited to be going back to work as well! Bad news is a couple of the drivers at a different depot have the virus.....this is on account of no screens on the buses I'm sure. So now I am worried again, just when I was thinking this morning that I am enjoying lockdown - much better than going to work and I can live without coffee and cake, and shopping.

Have a nice evening if you can xx

Ossie, they’re my favourite cartoons and they’ve stood the test of time

Gal, it’s been really lovely hasn’t it! Our forecast was poor too but it was wrong. It’s funny isn’t it how you get used to this. I’d usually pop into town, either walk to Cannock or get the bus to Stafford, a few times a week. Now I’m just walking down to Home Bargains once a fortnight and I’ve realised that I don’t actually need to go shopping so often. I do enjoy a ride into Stafford though as that’s where the decent shops are but at least I’m saving some money!

Another Road Runner fan here - I always wanted Wile E Coyote to catch him :cute:

I'm resigned to staying in, but still very much missing my walks into and around town, and particularly meeting friends.....

Same here!!!

I am quite apprehensive at the lockdown rules changing tbh. I do miss my Aquafit class and seeing my friends there, and catching up over a coffee afterwards, but we are still messaging on Whatsapp and as long as I am home, I know I am safe.
