Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 01 May 2020, 05:25

Good morning.

Hot and sunny. 8-)

Somehow yesterday I managed to burn the top of my feet  so will make sure they get extra sun factor today.

Reading, swimming and lazing by the pool. I shall be mostly dreaming of my run tomorrow.

Have a good day.

Just realised it's a bank holiday today.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Misty start but it's going to be a rather warm day 8-) Sun cream on here too ;)

Holiday here as well, sadly all the normal activities are cancelled. The 125 road down near Fuzeta is normally great fun, as they dress up life size mannequins, telling a story of what's happened to the locals in the last year.

But hey ho, life goes on.

We'll carry on weeding later and look forward to our weekly visitor.

Treating us to a roast pork dinner later :Hi:

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning you three, morning everyone

A dull and grey start to the day but hopefully clearing a bit later on; it's still quite nippy out there. I'm going to prick out a few little seedlings today so they can grow on in bigger pots but realise I may need to invest in one or two cheaper plastic greenhouses to house all the 'warm climate' plants such as tomatillo, chilli and cucumber - not enough space in the greenhouse :D Some will go to the allotment but there is no shelter there so it's all a bit iffy planting those kind of things there.

Ally, enjoy your run planning and Jan, enjoy the day and the roast pork - yum!

Correct Saundra - usually it would be the first Monday in May (so this coming Monday) but this year it's shifted to Friday 8th May for VE Day, but celebrations will be very muted. I feel sorry for all those that have spent ages and ages planning for this special day - what a disappointment for them. But hopefully everything can be caught up once lock down eases

Hopefully it wasn't anything important? I have Morrison's delivering this evening between 7 and 9pm. Fingers crossed they have most of what I'm after but I'll make do if not

Well have a lovely day everyone, stay warm and safe x

Every day is much like the last now, that is true.
Morning all. Dry, grey and cool here.
The roads are definitely busier this week than they were last.
The Salix in our back garden is in leaf now, it does look nice.
Apart from that it's Groundhog day here again.
Have a good day all.

Morning all :)

Ally, I've done that before, painful! Get some aloe vera on it, I expect you have it growing wild there :) xxx

Jan, so many lovely events getting cancelled, it's a shame I know :( xxx

Morning Saundra, I think next Friday, the 8th, is supposed to be the VE Day Bank Holiday. Not 100% sure though xxx

Oops sorry, Ria has already said about next Friday, duh Karen, read things properly    It's raining/hailing here, on and off, and my geraniums are still quite small so I hope they'll be ok.

Grounding Day is about right, Crommers :cute: xxx

Having a lazy one today. I cleared all my housework and ironing, and the weather is too dodgy for the garden. Looking forward to tonight, my nephew has arranged a quiz, via Zoom, so I'm really looking forward to seeing him, my niece and partner, and my sis and brother-in-law :D Quite a competitive bunch, so it should be fun :D

Love to all :) xxx

Good afternoon all, it is quite nice here although we have not been out for our walk yet. Edward has Jammie Dodger type biscuits in the oven, we’ll see how they turn out. This evening we are treating ourselves to a take out meal from one of the local restaurants, which will be nice. Quite a few of the local restaurants are doing it this weekend as it is a bank holiday weekend here. No real plan for the day, caught up on a lot yesterday so might take it easy. Andrew Lloyd Webber musical in YouTube tonight so we’ll look forward to that. We’ll be getting an announcement today on what relaxation of our restrictions will be allowed from next week - although going on government and health authority vibes, they will be very very minimal :(

Saundra, we got our grocery delivery yesterday, and it didn’t have apples or milk :? Luckily Miss Osc got some for us locally.

Afternoon all :D

It's been dull and overcast all morning, but looks like the sun's coming out now, hope it lasts.

Groundhog day indeed Crommers, washing's on the go and that's about it for today.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx
