Good afternoon, all! Bright and breezy here, in fact very breezy, so much so that we curtained our early afternoon stroll and just wandered down to the riverbank and back.

Nothing much to report. Day 3 of Industrial Paper Shredding; I have now moved on to weeding out the old mortgage files. The hallway, where the shredder is currently housed, has taken on the look of one of the settings of Lowry's dark satanic mills, paper flying about everywhere, a conveyor belt of files and detritus. :? Still, it keeps me occupied .....

Master O has had to frantically sort out a replacement car after old last one terminally died last week. He was due to have a hire car for six days, free as he was a key worker, but the hire company suddenly reneged on that and tried to charge him over £250. He was not amused  and sorted out lifts from DiL's family to enable him to cover his shifts. Having taken delivery of the replacement car, the battery promptly died :o but the garage he bought it from sorted out a replacement in record time. He tells me that the number of new Covid patients being admitted has not decreased, nor have admissions for strokes and heart attacks. This last week, he has been shadowing End of Life Care nurses .... :|

LOL Saundra, I picked up a PG Tips box from Iceland just before the lockdown, and yes that had 150 extra free too!
Roast pork sound really good, Jan, a bit of a luxury over here at present ....

Enjoy your day, all!

I had an invitation on FB to join a group making a social distancing 'party' for VE Day next week - think bunting, flags etc, maybe making your own BBQ and eating it out front in your own garden - be lovely if it comes off!

We should have been en route to Grasmere for our annual sojourn tomorrow, but obv we won't be going now. Instead we had the chance to rebook for later, or next year, so we changed the dates for next May 8th. There was a slight price difference, if we'd gone the same week it was £58 more which we didn't want to pay, but for the following week, they owed us money - £44. We opted for that, it was in my bank 2 days later! Well done Heart of the Lakes!! Glad you have got your money so quickly Kat x

Just been faffing this morning, doing this and that. Didn't sleep well again - my heart seems to beat REALLY hard and fast when I lie down, then I get anxious which makes it worse. I find I am taking really deep breaths to calm myself (I don't feel anxious beforehand) and start panicking about stuff. I am fine in the day. I have had a bit of a headache for a few days which is probably sleep related but it doesn't help my panic I'm due a full nights sleep soon, I'm sure.

One of the things I have been faffing with is a BT box with a lead that isn't connected anywhere on my living room wall near the skirting board. It's always been there and today I thought, right, time to go! So I got it off the wall, course it's pale green behind it (the original wall colour) and there are screw holes in the wall. Can I find my filler??? Can I eckerslike! And I've used it recently, when I painted Jen's room. Searched high and low....and I need a little testerpot to cover the green square....huh!! So much for tidying.

Shoved a load in the washer, hanging on the line now, hopefully the sun will stay out till it is dry!

Enjoy your family quiz Kaz - hopefully ours will resume on Sunday!

Ossie that's bad of the insurance company!! Glad he got it sorted!

Saundra LOL at your huge washing up liquid! That should keep you going for.....a week?? ;)

Stay safe and well all xx
