Good morning.

Hot and sunny. 8-)

My trainers are on and I'm off for a run! Beyond excited!

The pool and my book this afternoon. :D

Zoom call with our 3 lads tonight.. Jacob's organised a music intro quiz. Cue hilarity.

Have a good day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Foggy  Once that clears we're in for a rather warm day.

Cleaning this morning for me. We've given ourselves a day off from the heavy weeding - think triffids    Broken the back of it anyway, just a few bits and bobs to do on the bank and then it's the flower beds

Grumpy will vacuum the pool this morning and once I've done the cleaning, I'm going to get my cushion and sit on the drive and weed there. Can't get vinegar at the moment, so need to pull them up.

We'll have a wander down to tour nice neighbours house this afternoon, to do the watering. We're planning on taking a couple of bottles of beer down, sit on their terrace and admire their view. Might even see some traffic :o

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Oh that was fantastic!

I ran 8.2kms in just under an hour. I was like the Duracell bunny.

It was so lovely to see people just out enjoying the sun. Couples walking together and cyclists too.

Typical May weather in that the heat just cranks right up. Coming home just after 9.30 and it's reading 26 degrees. I should be used to it after all these years but it still catches me out.

Don's gone out for his run but should be home shortly and he'll make me a coffee. :)

Morning both. Enjoy the car spotting Jan! Ally, you must be as fit as a lop.
Same old here. In a while I'll get the paper. MrsC to her dad's.
I've turned the mattress on our bed this morning. It's made out of traditional materials and isn't light. Either it's getting heavier or I'm getting weaker.
Maybe I'll sneak off to Aldi this morning for some gin. :)
Have a good day all.

Morning all :D

Lovely and sunny here 8-)

Our mattress got turned last week Crommers, it weighs a ton.

We were so late up yesterday I only got half the washing done, more on the go this morning. Nothing else planned for today, still got 3 box files to check, might have a go at them later.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Afternoon everyone :)

Ally, that first run after all this time must have felt amazing! Your heat sounds amazing too! Enjoy the quiz tonight, the family one we did last night was hilarious! Phill, my nephew put his DJ and bow tie on to MC and he did a section on music - he danced acting out the moves, but without the music! :? We actually guessed one right - All The Single Ladies - although how I'm not sure! We didn't win, but at least we beat my sister and brother-in-law :P

Jan, that sounds like a plan 8-) 8-) :D

Crommers, that is a heavy job!

Jen, it's a great day for washing, I have bedding out :)

Been busy so far. SW online first thing - one of the members got to target, which was great :) Then I rang D - she was in the middle of shampooing her living room carpet, but had used more shampoo than planned, and has run out. We had some, so dropped it round for her. We had a cuppa whilst there, on the patio which is huge, so distanced properly :)

Now having a sandwich lunch. I'm baking again this afternoon 8-)

Enjoy the rest of your day everyone, stay safe :) xxx

Glad you had a decent workout, Ally.

Crommers, it's the same with stuffing the duvet inside its cover. I find I can't keep my arms up for any length of time these days.

The Ostrich is in disgrace. The bird has managed to burn the cakes …..

The trouble is, I get easily distracted. Or something. Don't fall into the same trap, Kaz! :D

Afternoon all, it was a glorious day earlier - I was waiting for my Boots order to be delivered and after it arrived, we went for a walk whereupon the clouds rolled over and it got cooler. Of course we got back and the sun came out again and it’s glorious again  I have washing on the line, and put away Thursday’s stuff, none of which needed ironing :) Might finish my book this afternoon, and do some knitting.

Blimey, it's hot 8-)

Walked down - under the ever watchful eyes from next door :cute: - and watered all the plants that needed it. Will need to get down again sometime, as the lock on the battery store door want lock properly. Grumpy can sort that out. Did some weeding and sat with a beer. Saw one car and one van

Your quiz sounds fun Kaz - ours are usually of the more serious variety....;)

Ally I thought about you this morning going out for your first run in ages! 8-) We had a 5 and a bit mile walk this morning, didn't leave the house till almost 11.30 so was 1.30 when we got home. Donna brought the kids to see us, we sat in the garden and kept the 2m distance and John did us a little DIY job in the spare bedroom. It's fab seeing them, just wish we could hug them :(

Chatted to my sister on Facetime this afternoon and then Amy turned up with Tom, her boyfriend, and sat in the garden in the sunshine. My Tom popped inside to make a cuppa and the daft lass ran in to give him a hug!!!!! :o Can you believe it??? She said she missed him - both of us were annoyed with her. I actually think my Tom doesn't want much to do with her atm, don't know why. Her boyf Tom is lovely - far too nice for her!

Trying to order a takeaway Chinese as we found out the one near Donna is open, but it's obviously very busy as continually engaged so we're just going to have a frozen pizza.

Have a lovely evening all xx
