Afternoon all :)

Busy so far today, did some hoovering and steaming early on, then had my morning chat with D, then Mick and I did a bit of gardening. We've just had a sandwich lunch out on the decking - perfect :) Another family quiz tonight, this time my niece Hannah is setting the questions so I doubt they'll be as ......erm......eclectic, as Phill's were last week :geek:

Ally that's so nice, I would love to see my boys in person :)

Jan, I hope you get those back plates sorted ((x))

Saundra, B has her washing out and it's almost dry! I've also washed the dogs' sleeping pads, the ones they lie on in Mick's study, and they're drying nicely too 8-)

Enjoy your exercising Osc :)

Jen, I think we're nearly all making the most of this weather to do washing :) Hope you get everything on your Sainsbury's order :)

Enjoy this beautiful weather everyone :) Take care :) xxx

Evening everyone - lovely day here today, perfect for the virtual street party we had, arranged by some of our neighbours :)

Most people joined in (not our cul de sac though  ) just to have a picnic or a BBQ (we opted for afternoon tea, which I made, using my mam's 1940s chinaware) and put our garden bistro set round the front of the house - it was really nice to just sit there and watch people pass by, and have a chat with some :) Some one a few streets away has been playing music which has been fab. proper party feel.

I felt a bit weepy this morning, as I heard Moonlight Serenade on the radio and my dad was a massive Glenn Miller fan, so I could see him sitting 'conducting' as Glenn would have....really choked me. Also today would have been my nephew's birthday, the one who was in a road accident when he was 18 - Ian was more like my little brother as there were only 8 years between us.

I am also missing Jen loads. Not seen her since March 4th, but because they live close by, Tom has seen Donna and Amy loads, as they pop down and chat at the end of the path or in the garden. Sorry, downbeat post :( I can't wait to see J again as soon as our restrictions lift.

Busy, busy day.

Got the bags and stuff sorted, then Grumpy said we need to strim. Garden looking rather untidy and we're in for at least a week of rain  :o  starting tomorrow.

So he got kitted up, I finished off the curry, met Jan down at the gate, as she had proper masks for us, then changed and got kitted up.

We've changed the angle of the handles on my strimmer and my goodness, what a difference :Hi: :Hi: I whizzed through my side of the garden, then did all three banks and off I went, down the track. Did both sides and outside next door (the nice one's) then back up the track.

As the clouds were around, it was warm, but then the clouds went and it got bluddy hot.

Cream crackered at the end of it, showered and then had a couple of rather swift beers

Dinner cooked and eaten, I'm sat outside, with a cardi on
