Forget what I said yesterday....

Postby Ally » 09 May 2020, 09:45

....about going out in the car with Don next week.

Forget what I said yesterday about the boys coming to see us next Saturday.

Why?

Because late last night it was announced Malaga Province has to remain for the time being in Phase 0.

The head of the government health emergency committee said that six of Andalucia's eight provinces would see their restrictions eased from Monday, however Malaga and Granada do not currently meet the necessary conditions.

It was stated that these 2 provinces are very close to meeting the criteria but not quite there yet.

The situation is getting reviewed on 18 May to see if we can follow the the rest of Spain and move into phase 1.

Yes I'm disappointed not to see the boys for a while yet or not to get to the beach but I'd much rather this than there be a risk of a spike.

I've just said to Don it is amazing how easily we have got used to this.

And again....that goodness for technology in that we can 'see' our boys. Just not hug them yet.

Very wise decision there Ally.

Our government has said that should there be a rise in cases, following any ease of restrictions, back they'll come.

We only had 9 deaths in Portugal yesterday, with only a handful of new infections, so it's very encouraging.

Not so keen on hotels re-opening next month though.

Sorry to hear that, Ally, but also pleased to know that the authorities are being sensible in keeping everything under review and are able to adapt to the data.

Lockdown - ease - lockdown - ease will probably be the new modus in quite a few places for a while yet as there is no text book way out.

Got to say that it is good to hear that you are comfortable with it rather than letting it bringing you down. xxx

Saundra, the internal lockdown has ended in Vietnam so Becky is back to work from tomorrow, though there are still international travel restrictions.

No sign of the baby as yet ... and I have now started to take the phone to bed just in case. :o Don't worry I'll let everyone know when she arrives. :D
