Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 23 May 2020, 05:25

Good morning.

Hot. 8-)

Off for a run then back to.........stand at the gate and wait for Conor!!! :Hi: :Hi:

He's coming over to spend the day and stop over the night with us. Joy. :P

We haven't seen him since the middle of February. Restrictions have lifted enough to visit family and Lucia is going to see her parents and grandmother.

We're going to have a BBQ lunch and a delicious catch up. :D

I am so happy at the thought of seeing him and having a hug.....plenty of hugs. :P

Have a good day.

Misty start but expecting another rather warm day 8-)

How lovely for you Ally :Hi: :Hi: have a great catch-up :D

Cleaning for me this morning, then a swim, then we'll go down and do the watering at the neighbours house. If we time it right, I can catch the bread man and order rolls for every Saturday.

Have a great day everyone xx

I am Saundra, just things that need to be done before it gets too hot. I'll get behind Grumpy's workshop later, as the back and side will be sunless and pull up the weeds that almost as tall as me

Ally, how lovely. Have a good day Cruiser. Enjoy the swim Jan (if not the weeding!). Saundra, we had proper gales yesterday too. It's not quite as bad yet but the wind is getting up.
Sergio has brought us some pasta arrabiata for tonight and I will be opening a bottle of French red. The grape is tannat, which apparently means tannin in French. It is from the Madiran region in Gascony and is supposed to be one of the healthiest wines in the world - any excuse for a drink! :Hi:
Not much on today. MrsC to her dads in a while. We have heard that her sister may have to stop home working soon and go in to work, probably in late June. When that happens I think it may be time for a care home. We will see but I think it will be too much for just MrsC. I don't want her getting worn out, I'm not going to let that happen.
Anyhow, have a great day all!

Morning all, sun, clouds and strong winds here. As I type, my personal chef is busy in the kitchen - ribs marinading for tonight’s dinner, an apple tart in the making too. I’m going to tidy up and then do my gym exercises. I’ll put on a wash and see if anything else needs doing.

Morning all :)

Ally, that's brilliant! :Hi: :Hi:

Jan, I'd love a swim right now - enjoy :D

Saundra, it's really windy here too - sunshine and showers xx

Morning Cruiser :)

Crommers, it certainly seems as though you have no option, you and MrsC have to take care of yourselves (((x)))

Oh yum Osc, apple tart :D

SW meeting first thing, then Mick ran me up to the Co-op for some milk and a paper. We're expecting a delivery this afternoon, new mobile for D as her old one is giving up the ghost, and she needs it to WhatsApp family. We've bought it as a (very) early birthday present ;) Becky is back at work, Pepper seems fine. I have the bedding in the machine, as I've changed the bed. Nothing much planned.

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all :D

Nice and sunny but quite windy.

Enjoy your hugs Ally.
A swim sounds ideal Jan.
Always a difficult decision Crommers, but you're right you must do what's best for you all xx

Nothing exciting happening here, should probably say for the rest of the day, we've only just sat down for brekkie  Got all the washing done yesterday so just general pootling here.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Good afternoon all, it’s a breezy one here and we’ve had some rain.

We’ve been and tidied up my Nan’s grave this afternoon. It was quite a hair-raising experience as the grave is under a large tree and we arrived to find three branches had fallen and it was really blowing around while we worked. I’ve also been trying to find my Grandad’s grave. He died around 1940 of polio, our Nan was a young widow with four children under 7 and couldn’t afford a gravestone but around 20 years ago my Mom and aunty clubbed together to pay for one and I’ve seen it before and we walked around where the graves from that time are but couldn’t find it. We were talking a while ago about him because he died in Stafford hospital but we don’t know how he ended up in there and also being buried here because they were still living in Moseley which is south of Birmingham city centre, it’s one of those family mysteries that won’t be solved now I suppose.

Crommers, it’s a hard decision to have to make but the current arrangement is a lot for Mrs C to have to cope with on her own. I wish you all the best.
