Good morning Monday

Postby Ally » 25 May 2020, 05:18

Good morning.

Hot. 8-)

Had a fabulous weekend with Don and Conor....he stayed till 10 last night. :D

Off for a good stomp, back for a swim then get ready to walk into town. I've a stamp to buy to post a birthday card then I'll go to Mercadona to buy a chicken for dinner.

Lockdown lessening continues. :D Groups of 10 people can now meet up socially, tennis can be played including doubles and padel. :D

Hopefully we can move to Phase 2 next Monday. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, Saundra and everyone

Gorgeous morning 8-)

I' off strimming once I've had my coffee. Grumpy has a problem with one of his knees and we're not sure if he will be able to do it. I'll see if I can get the other side of the garden done if he can't. We'll see, it might be too hot.

After that, not a lot, swim and laze around.

Have as good a day as you can everyone xx

Good morning everybody.

Another sunny day and the wind has dropped.
Will waterthe lawn today. It has not had much waterthis month.
Surprising there has not been any mention of hose pipe ban.
Just pottering most of the day.

Have a good day everybody

Morning all, another lovely day although still rather windy. Edward is playing golf at 12.20 so I’ll drive him to the club and he will walk home. Today’s treatment appointment is not until 15.45 so in theory I should be able to do plenty of stuff around the house, but in practice...... :cute: I had a phone call this morning from one of the doctors on the radiation team, asking how I am getting on with the treatment, I’m so impressed with the level of care and attention I’m receiving.

Afternoon everyone :)

Ally, that's great! :D

Jan, I hope Grumpy's knee is ok? xxx

Saundra, it was bound to happen :? :cute:

Cruiser, I'm expecting that any time now

Osc, I'm so pleased that your treatment is going well :) (((x)))

Cracking weather here, hot but not too hot, light breeze - perfect! B and I walked up to the Co-op to get some milk and the paper - had an encounter with a very stroppy woman who huffed and shrugged at us when we walked past :? No idea why, we asked her retreating back if there was a problem but she ignored us! Hey ho, some people :cute: Mick had a similar issue yesterday, with a jogger, when he was walking the dogs. Things have been really good natured round here up until now, maybe nerves are coming out *shrugs*

About to make some lunch, and eat it out on the decking - lovely :D

Take care everyone :) xxx

Good afternoon all, it’s warm and sunny here and I’m very much regretting getting rid of much of my Summer clothing last Autumn with the plan of replacing it before going on holiday

The second load of washing is out and I’ve mowed the lawns. John walked Bill this morning, my knees are hurting after starting to run more often so I need to rest them a bit.

We’ve decided to order pizza for dinner tonight. I’ve just added my Mom’s shopping to our order for tomorrow night, emailed in her repeat prescription and ordered a book from Amazon which my Dad asked me to get. That’ll be delivered to him tomorrow.

Much love to you all xx

Good afternoon! Hot and sunny here, virtually no clouds in the sky.

Awoken early by A., the guy who mows our lawns, who arrived a day early. Went outside and had a bit of banter with him as he's a sports fan like myself :D .
After lunch, planted out Mrs O's 2 geraniums in terracotta pots and my 2 courgette plants in a growbag, both on the patio. Lots of birdle activity this morning, and judging by the number of fledglings around on the lawn, some must have nested in our shrubs. The water butt is now totally out of water (it has a split half way down so it doesn't hold a fat lot), so I'm going to see if I can wheedle R., the young man who is coming on Wednesday to estimate for the guttering repairs, into replacing it whilst he's at it.

Mock strawberry + cream afternoon tea on the way (jam and crème freche on Ryvitas

It certainly seems like you're getting good care, Osc, I hope today's treatment went well.
Enjoy your day, all!

Evening all!! We've had a SD walk with Donna, John and the kiddies at Castle Eden Dene, a local beauty spot and nature reserve - D had taken the kids last week and couldn't speak highly enough of it, lovely scenery, green-ness (is that a thing?) and trails to follow. They took a picnic but we didn't, and we were there about 90 minutes or so. After we left them, Tom and I drove down to Crimdon beach as it's a huge beach and we figured it would be a good one to SD....I have never seen so many cars in and around the car park!! We did manage to SD, even had an ice cream without queuing (and the van had very good guidelines if there had been some) and then home. Was just lovely, gorgeous weather if a little breezy.

Since we got home I have sat in the garden with my book, and also had a Facetime chat with Jen 8-) :D

Have a nice evening all xx
