Good Morning Thursday

Postby JanB » 28 May 2020, 05:44

Morning everyone

Lovely, sunny morning and going to be another rather warm day 8-)

Will be strimming later - don't want to upset the neighbours by doing it too early ;) We looked at the drive on Monday and said it could probably last for another week or so. When we went down it yesterday, the weeds were bashing the underside of the car  I'll do on side and half of the middle, Grumpy will do the rest. I'll also do the other side of the gates and by our nice neighbours house.

Then breakfast, then some weeding and then a swim.

Then not a lot

Have as good a day as you can everyone xx

Morning Jan, morning everyone.

Nudging 30 degrees already.

I've pegged two loads of washing out and now I'm off for a bike ride. It should be a bit cooler in the pine forests.

Back for a swim then chilling out by the pool.

Marigold Hotel on TV tonight. :D I'm loving Britt Ekland.

Have a good day.

A swim sounds like heaven Jan  8-) :D

It was a very warm night here, and it's shaping up to be a scorching few days here 8-) Early start as B needed a lift to work, Mick got back about half an hour ago and I made him his porridge with nuts and fresh fruit - bran flakes and 'nana for me ;) It's my shopping day, so I'll get D's list from her when I make my morning phone call 8-) xxx

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Morning all

Ally, enjoy the cycle and then swim - could do with a little paddling pool here; it's a tad warm recently; bliss
Jan, don't overdo that strimmig
Kaz, good luck with the shopping, hope you get all you want

Well, what a morning for me - one of my cats was missing. My garden is cat proofed so they shouldn't be able to get out, but somehow Eli managed to get out at some point during the night. I first noticed something wasn't right at 1am and then didn't really get any sleep again. Got up at 4.30 to give the garden a thorough check and no cat so come 5.30 I went out looking with no luck. He finally managed to find his way home at 10am. I'm now so tired but will need to do quite a few things in the garden to make sure it's secure again - so that'll be my afternoon sorted!

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all :D

Another lovely sunny day 8-)

I'm loving Britt Ekland too, she's quite a character.

Saundra I'm so glad you had a lovely day with Scarlett. I'd love to see a picture of the wicker birds.

I've got a casserole on the go in the slow cooker. Not doing much, we'll probably sit out in the garden again, we have so many birds along the back it's fun to watch them, in between reading my kindle of course.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Good afternoon all, it’s warm and sunny here.

I walked Bill first thing and had a lovely chat in the woods with an elderly gentleman that we used to see every day, sometimes twice daily if we bumped into him in the afternoon too. Had a catch up from a distance for five minutes and that was Bill’s limit today for standing in one place, he then started jumping up me to tell me it was time to move on. 10 minutes later we bumped into another man - John had come to find us to get some fresh air before being stuck in the home office for the rest of the day. When we got back Joe was about to go for his run. It’s hard to believe that he once used to beg me for notes to get him out of PE

I watered the garden when we got back, everywhere is so dry, and I’ll do it again tonight. There’s a load of washing on the line and I’ve started cleaning around the house, and also trimmed my fringe. I’m desperate for a hair cut, my split ends have split ends, and John’s offered to trim it but I don’t want to lose the layers and I don’t trust him to cut those

Saundra, Tesco just surprise you with what’s not available when the delivery turns up. So glad you had a lovely time with Scarlett xx

We’re enjoying Marigold Hotel too, although we’re watching on iPlayer and have only seen two episodes so far. We couldn’t believe that John Altman was in his late 60s.

Take care all xx

Afternoon all, another lovely day here although breezy which keeps it cool. I had treatment at 10.15 this morning so that was an early start. I’m tired and a bit sore today, which the radiotherapist said is pretty much on schedule. Our supermarket delivery arrived quite soon after I got home, so we checked that and Edward put it away. I had a FB Messenger online chat with some friends, had lunch and am now going to sit and have a rest. If I get a burst of energy later, I’ll do some ironing.

Time to take it easy Osc xx

My sister who underwent similar treatment said she was surprised how tired it made her feel. How many more treatments will you need?
