Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 30 May 2020, 05:01

Good morning.

Very hot. 8-)

Off for a run then back to have breakfast with Jacob (when he surfaces  )

Don's going to drive him back into Malaga and I'm going to zonk on the sunbed after a swim.

It has been absolutely fantastic seeing both twins within the last week...not that I needed reminding but it has really brought it home how heart breaking it's been that this virus has kept families apart. I hope everyone gets to see and hug their loved ones soon. xx

Tonight will be yesterday's planned Chinese delivery for dinner  and there's a few fabby things to watch on iplayer.

Hope you all have a nice day.

Morning Ally, morning all

Ally, your post put a big smile on my face; so glad you had a fabulous time yesterday with Jacob. And I totally agree, it is absolute madness that families are being split like this.

I'm up usual early - chickens don't have lie ins sadly. A much cooler start to the day but expecting sunshine again later. Have a fairly busy day today, part of in includes collecting four masks; unfortunately 2 each from different people but they'd both kindly offered to make me some for either very cheap or for free so didn't want to ask for four from one person. But I'm heading to work next Tuesday and will be using the train for the first time since lock down started.... quicker than the car and cheaper given congestion charge has been reinstated in London. But I wanted to have masks for the journeys so will collect today.

Have a lovely day all x

Morning you two, morning all :)

I'm so pleased for you Al :D xx

Ria, I think it's very sensible to have the masks ready for Tuesday 8-) They take a bit of getting used to, in my experience - might be an idea to practice wearing one, as they can feel a bit claustrophobic? :cute: xxx

It's going to be another beautiful day here! Mick is dropping B at work, waiting for him to get back so we can have brekky :) SW meeting at 9, then a quiet day here 8-)

Have a good day everyone, enjoy the sunshine :) xxx

Morning everyone

Gorgeous morning, although a little warm already 8-)

Glad you were able to see both boys Ally x

Oh dear Ria, take sanitizer with you too and use it every time you have to touch something.

Watering done, had to do most of it, as some-one didn't get up ;)

Usual cleaning morning this morning, then it will be too hot to do anything else. We're supposed to go down to normal figures from tomorrow and there is a threat of rain next week :o

Silly Saturday means curry for dinner  Leftovers, so no need to get too hot and bothered :D

Have a good day everyone ,whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it is gorgeous here, like those early mornings when you are away on holiday. We were awake early, so got up just before 8am and washed the car. Then we went and walked on the pier as it is sure to be mad busy as the day goes on. Sat down to breakfast at 9.30 and now I’m about to have my shower. No plan at all for the rest of the day, might sit in the sun and read.

Good morning - another sunny, warm day here.

After a bit of a lie-in after yesterday's exertions, today we are starting to tidy up and move smaller items of furniture into the garage to facilitate the lady painter who re-starts on Monday. That should keep us occupied most of the weekend; we'll do it in easy stages. Soup for lunch and a tin of something with a baked potato for tea. Probably minced beef 'n onions. I think I'd prefer your Chinese, Ally!

The Infernal Device (solar panel) seems to be working correctly after its (expensive  ) overhaul - the collection temperature is currently 68.5C and the pressure just over 2 thingamyjigs (it should be between 2 and 4). So we have plenty of hot water and haven't needed the gas-fired boiler; long may the sunshine last! At least it's contributing towards its keep, but it will never pay.

Sounds eminently sensible to follow the advice and use a facemask for your train commute, Meriad. It'll be interesting to learn how you get on with it, and whether everyone else is following the guidelines as well. They say the infection ("R") rate has dropped to 0.4 in London; here in Dorset and Wiltshire, it's rising up to 0.9. We are weeks behind the Home Counties in the spread of this thing - I'd say very few folk are actively wearing masks - less than 10%, I'd reckon. :|

Enjoy the sunshine, all.

Morning all......well almost

Another lovely sunny day 8-)

Sensible to wear a mask Ria, especially on the underground.

Still got a bit of washing on the go, apart from that the garden and my kindle beckons.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx
