Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 03 Jun 2020, 04:52

Good morning.

Hot.

Off for a run shortly. Leaving now means I'm home by 8.30 singing na na na na na to the heat.

I'll hàve a swim then I'm going to facetime Craig. He's 35 today....which can't be right as I'm only that age myself.

Going to Gambrinus for lunch with Don. :D

Sewing Bee tonight. :D

Have a good day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Misty start and a pleasantly cool breeze 8-) Will warm up later, although still not as hot as it has been.

Off to Ourique after breakfast for supermarket shopping. My favourite occupation  Pit stop at the bar for coffee on the way back :D

Back to a bit of a tidy up, as the "girls" are coming here for a chat, cake and coffee or mostly tea, in their case. We'll sit apart on the back terrace or if too hot, will make use of the two other outside tables. Mandy is bring the cake, as I have nothing here to make one.

Might go down to the bar afterwards, for a beer :Hi:

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning, we’ve had some rain overnight with more forecast for today and it feels much fresher.

John came on the morning walk with me and Bill this morning, Joe’s gone to work and Tom’s getting ready to go to Shannon’s as it’s her birthday today. We’ve bought her a MAC gift card as she loves make up so she can easily spend that online.

I’m now just getting my bag ready to walk down to Home Bargains in town.

Have a good day all xx

Jan that sounds lovely, and somebody else bringing the cake is even better :D xxx

No a MAC gift card sounds like a great present, I hope Shannon has a lovely day :) xxx

Hallelujah, we have rain!!!!! Never thought I would say that here in Gloucester but everywhere is so parched, and our lawn is mostly brown  So it's very much needed 8-) Zumba at 10, then cleaning and ironing. No plans to go out, but I might fit in a walk at some point.

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Ah, the mystery of 30 odd year old children! I too am only that age; I only look this decrepit because I had a long paper round as a kid..
Morning! We too have rain, much needed.
Usuals today. Rellie runs a bit of shopping and pick up various pensions.
Have a great day everyone.

Morning all :D

Nice and dry but a bit dull at the moment.

E's going to help me colour my hair again after brekkie. It desperately needs a cut. Had a surprise phone call from Jo my hairdresser yesterday afternoon, she's planning to reopen on 7th July. She seems to be taking it very seriously, only one client at a time and just three clients per day with half an hour clean down between each one. She's not advertising it on her Fb page and is only contacting her regular clients to begin with. I've let her book me in as her last client on her first day, still not completely sure about it, will see how I feel nearer the time. She said not to worry if I need to cancel or change it, but of course I'll give her plenty of notice if I'm not happy with how things progress.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

All ready for my visitors :D

Alentejana had a queue outside this morning, they only let 8 people in at a time and there were 8 in the queue, so gave that a miss.

Couldn't find any half price beer :o so bought 2 boxes of wine and a lot of water, then had to go back in to get the rest on my list and a very nice gentleman was sorting out the prices on the beer, so managed to get 2 boxes at 40% off :Hi:

Popped into the bar for a coffee and Odette was in full voice over the post office and what's been going on. Think I've mentioned before that they don't get paid by the post office to keep everyone's mail, although they used to. So now we're all going to have to either get a box in Ourique and pay for it or try and get one in the bus shelter. I'm hoping that we can get one in Encalho, if we can't, then that means changing our address, which will be a hug pain in the posterior :cute:

Rather warm now, just heading into the pool fora quick swim 8-)

Enjoy the rest of the day x

Ally how lovely to be able to go out for a meal!! I know you'll enjoy - happy birthday to Craig :)

It's certainly changed weather wise today - me no likey!! Bring back the sun and warmth say I - I am back to wearing a long cardi as well as full length leggings - pah!! Still, it warmed up in the conservatory a little while the sun made a brief appearance - and the cardi came off but outside is not looking grand, all my plants being slung around with the 'moderate breeze' - yeah, right, more like a strong wind to me!! Still on the plus side, they've all had a good drink with the overnight rain 8-)

I have done - nothing!! My foot/ankle is still too sore to walk far (I'm hobbling but not as bad as yesterday) so that's out, but hopefully another day will see it off. It says dry tomorrow, so might get a walk in! First for a week, if so.

Enjoy the rest of Wednesday xx
