Good morning all! Pain about the freezer, Kaz .... :|

Bright and warmish in Dorset. Week 2 of the painting, and the lady painter has moved on to the large bedroom. It will have a feature wall, apparently - I let Mrs O decide all these matters. Early on, I ventured that I wouldn't mind magnolia throughout the house, but that was roundly derided. :D

We got the bill for the guttering today from our local builder. It is less than half what we were quoted by the local double-glazing and PVC guttering company, so they have had their card well and truly marked and we will go elsewhere when we get to the stage when we need our double-glazing renewed.

Then a walk into town as Mrs O's wristwatch needs a new battery - only to find the hardware store (wot replaces them) is now closed on a Monday. Oh well. So a consolation visit to the Polish Shop over the road for two links of their finest spicy sausage! Mrs O, needless to say, decidedly unimpressed on Ossie's return....

Have a good day, folks.

Afternoon all, it’s a lovely day here even with an onshore breeze. I had a big adventure this morning, I went to the bank! Oh the excitement! I rarely need to anyway, but I had a sterling cheque to lodge. I wore my mask and it was all well organised. Today is my self-declared “Hug your daughter and grandchildren day” so I will have that long awaited pleasure this afternoon. Michael is coming to play table tennis with Edward, and Kellie and Miss Osc will come too. When I got back from the bank, I had an online chat with some friends, then made a batch of soup, sitting in the sun while it was cooking.

My ankle didn't seem quite so bad today, so I thought I'd take a trip out. I just popped to Durham and had a walk round, obv there's no shops open, but I wasn't after shops, just to soak it all up. I wanted to see it empty, but it wasn't. Oh well....my foot was ok....so after lunch Tom and I took a drive down to Crimdon Beach again, and walked on the sand, and had a flask of coffee in the car, the sun was out by this time and although chilly, it was really lovely. Glad we did it. I'll probably pay for the 10K steps I've done today after doing none for ages, but I can't sit in the house day in day out, especially as this could be the last week off!!

Ooo Kaz I hate when that happens re the freezer!! Hope you didn't lose too much!

Have a good evening xx
