Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 09 Jun 2020, 04:50

Good morning.

Hot.

Off for a walk then today we're going shopping. :D

Miramar shopping mall has all its shops open now which include Primark. I'm wanting some fun coloured skinnies.

Pandora next for the anniversary charm from Don. Then shopping for said Don as it's his 60th on Thursday so a few treats will be in order for him. :D

Few beers early doors this evening and a bite to eat. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning all

Ally, reading your post brings back such a sense of normality - I do wonder just how long it'll be before we can start saying that we're going shopping, having a bite to eat, a few beers out.... It really just seems to be dragging on here. As a matter of interest, I can't remember if you've said already, are masks compulsory for you when you go out and do you have to stick to social distancing somehow still ?

Well, another pootle at home day for me - need to finish off painting the chicken fence in between doing regular work; well get the first coat on everything and start on the 2nd for some places. It's a lovely sage green and I'm going to plant some white roses and dark blue salvia in front of it; can't wait until it's all done; and both those plants have a wonderful scent so double bonus :D

The weather is a tad iffy again today; due to remain overcast all day and then rain starting overnight; which is good and needed and apparently it'll rain for the rest of the week and the weekend so the ground will get a good soaking :Hi:

Have a lovely day all and enjoy whatever it is you're up to x

Morning Ally, morning all :)

Oh, a clothes shopping trip - I am sooo jealous! :D :D Have fun :D

It looks grey and cool here today! I have a Zumba class at 10, then will go and see D, calling in at the Co-op en route if she needs anything. She has a new gardener starting today, which sounds a bit "Downton Abbey" I know, but it's just a couple of hours, once a fortnight, to do some of the heavier stuff. The lovely Bill retired at the end of last year, so she has a young woman starting. Mick and I have both offered to do the heavier gardening, but she won't hear of it.

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Morning everyone

Lovely, sunny morning, but a little cool in the breeze.

Watering done and I had a little lie in, as Molly was in and out in the early hours  then I couldn't get back to sleep :cute:

Off to Ourique for the weekly shopping, see Nelson for more salt, see Fatima, then the dreaded Pingo. I really loathe that supermarket, but it's our only big one

Back to pootle, swim and prep dinner.

Think we need to see this fence when it's finished Ria, sounds lovely :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everybody.

Cloudy but warm. The sun is trying to pock its head out.

Just pottering today. Got one of our clocks back yesterday after it has been serviced. It is a German wall clock with Westminster chimes.
Been worth having it done even if it was a bit expensive. We have a clock in every room but this is the best one.

We are waiting to go shopping again. May have a walk round the town this week.

Have a good d ay everybody.

Ria...masks compulsory when you are in shops.

Still social distancing too.

Almost all bars and restaurants here have terraces outside but the tables are now placed a bit further apart than before.

Everyone seems to be coping and just getting on with it. :D

Good morning all, it’s a sunny one.

Had a long walk with Bill first thing and did a conditioning treatment on my hair when we got back. I’ve got some sorting out in the spare room to do today as I’ve changed the furniture around in there.

I’m also hoping that shortly the pile of clothes that Tom dumped on the landing yesterday will be moved, otherwise they’ll be dumped back in his room. We had a charity bag through the door just over a week ago and I mentioned to him that if he had any clothes he didn’t want then sort them out and I’d put them in there. He said that he didn’t have anything so the bag went out and it was collected at the start of last week.
I already had to move them once last night as they were blocking the door to the cupboard, and he leaves a trail of mess and empty mugs in every single room that he goes in.

I’ve got a Boots order on the way which should be coming today via Royal Mail. I always buy a Benefit mascara in brown but it’s only stocked in the larger branches so I’ve had to get it online as there’s no chance of getting into Birmingham anytime soon. I know the shops are going to reopen soon but I don’t fancy using the train.
This evening we’ve got to collect the shopping order from Tesco in Rugeley. I’d selected to get it from there because when I first placed the order because it was looking like John would be back in the office full time at the end of May and he has to pass that store on the way home.

Al, I’m so jealous of your shopping trip! Enjoy yourself!

Have a good day all :)

Hello everyone.
We have been to the big Sainsbury's in Wakefield this morning. Got there about a quarter past nine, no queue and not crowded inside so all in all a bit of a result.
MrsC and her sis have gone to their dads. Sister in law is thinking of retiring. She passes 60 this month and has had enough, I think. Once past 60 your local authority pension isn't too badly affected if you retire.
It's not a brilliant day here, grey and not over warm.
Have a good one everybody.

I don't think it will last much longer Ria. Lowest number of deaths since before lockdown yesterday, no deaths in London etc. Fingers crossed.
