What Saundra said, really. Your experiences the other day did sound wonderful Al, and I long for that, but it won't be the same here, I don't think.

Absolutely. Can barely even understand BJ.

I have no desire to go out shopping. I'd love to go for a coffee though, outdoors and SD. Can't see it happening for ages yet though. And I'm SO missing my Aqua class, but that's even further away.

Complete lack of discipline in a lot of cases.

A complete lack of understanding, with selfishness thrown in too.

We're slowly lifting lockdown, but the infection rate has rocketed, because of clearing the slums in Lisbon.

We're going to the Algarve tomorrow, but only to a couple of shops and I've spoken to friends who have already been and social distancing is very much kept. As are masks and sanitizers in all shops, to be used as you go in and then out again. Security guards on all entrances to make sure you do.

Not a problem to me. And I carry one in my bag too. And one in the car.

Agreed, but also a complete lack of clarity from the Government.

As I understand it, Government guidelines are that you are now strongly advised to wear face coverings when attending hospitals. This has been interpreted locally as it is mandatory for you to wear face coverings if attending a doctor's surgery. They seem to have rushed this out, last night, as a policy at the two doctor's groupings operating in the Vale, and it's to take effect from this morning!

It's very hard not to think that the Government and the local authorities are making it up as they go along. No wonder folk are ignoring the "rules".

Out of interest, has your local doctor's practice introduced the same rules on face coverings?

They certainly have here Crommers.

You have to stop before you go in, by a window and a nurse will take your temperature. Ask how important it is for you to see a doctor. Both nurse and you must be wearing a mask and in our centro de saude, she is wearing a face mask and gown as well.

You sanitize your hands before you go in. Speak to the receptionist, who is behind a perspex screen and then wait in one of two waiting rooms. The cost of seeing the doctor has been waived for now.

The doctor is wearing his normal coat, although one of them is in full hamzat gown, gloves, goggles, mask and visor

The prescription is sent to your phone, rather than you handling anything.

And you must sanitize your hands on the way out.
