Afternoon all, it is dull and a bit misty here, but is supposed to clear for the afternoon. I drove Edward to the golf club and then went to the bank to lodge a cheque - refund for our second cruise, so we have all our refunds now apart from Ryanair. I think I’m going for a walk with Miss Osc and Kellie this afternoon, Michael will probably come here to play table tennis with Edward.

That's our freezers now well and truly stuffed :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

Enough sausages to last us a year - they were all on special, so got cumberland and pork one's - as well as pork pies for Grumpy, who is just sitting down to one, with a beer   Cheeses, naan breads and treats for Molly.

We had rain showers  on the way back and need to get another wiper blade, as one is perished. That can be done tomorrow.

Weather is really iffy, so the cover is staying on the pool.

Good afternoon all.

It's sunny and dry here, although rain has been forecast.
We won't be going anywhere today, though.

Hope you are all O.K.

Such a shame Saundra, how sad for his wife :(

I have been out for a walk today!!! My ankle isn't properly better but it's hurting less than it was so I thought, stuff this I'm off out! I drove across to a fairly local nature reserve that was created when the company who has the massive limestone quarry nearby removed some of the grass and trees to appease the locals. I've never been to it, in fact I didn't know it existed until recently when I was driving along the road (I don't use that road often now, it's about a mile from the village where my mam lived and was only created in 1992) It was fab - I got a bit lost as the markers were a bit vague and I kept hitting the end of the route, so I ended up retracing my steps back to the start. When I was out it was warm and grey, now the sun has got out so I've been sitting in the garden doing my daily crossword :)

Before I went for my walk, I stripped all the loose covers from the sofa and put them in a wash and tried to clean the bits of sofa that won't remove. It's a cream chenille type fabric, such a comfy sofa but hideous to keep clean!!! Tom put them out to dry for me but he's been sitting on the floor watching telly all pm!

Have a lovely evening all xxx

PS Ally I saw Sewing Bee last night form last week and really enjoyed it! Looking forward to The House Of Our Time tonight, it's the last in series.

Gal, we have a disused quarry which now forms part of the common behind us. It was actually still operating when we moved here just over 9 years ago but you wouldn’t know it to look at it now. Nature has been allowed to take over, the only assistance it was given was to level the sides off a bit so that they weren’t so steep to be dangerous. Trees have grown from seed and are getting really tall and it’s full of wild flowers, and wildlife, and there’s a large pool too.
It was a bit of a hidden secret up until lockdown.
