Good Morning Friday

Postby JanB » 19 Jun 2020, 06:13

Morning everyone

Lovely, fresh morning and not a breath of wind. Bet that changes this afternoon and we get our normal hooley

Will be cleaning the back sun room this morning, amazing how spiders and daddy longleg thingies get in. We're festooned with cobwebs from the wooden ceiling   The general pootling for the rest of the day, reading, a swim, as long as it's not too windy. Been north ish winds all weeks, so making it feel colder than it is.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Jan - spiders, ugh! :cute:

Morning Cruiser :)

It's raining here, but the forecast for the weekend is dryer, and much hotter next week! No real plans for today, a bit of housework I expect.

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all

Grey and rainy here as well but meant to clear up towards the afternoon; and then as Kaz said set to be much hotter next week again - yay!!!!

More general pootling and working in the morning. New hob is being delivered at some point between noon and 3pm; I'm moving from regular electric to induction. Karl is coming over after work (around 3.30ish) to continue with the kitchen and then I'm picking up Nadine and the kids this evening and we're all having dinner here. Ordering take away from a local pub - supporting local business and we don't have to cook - so win win :D

So a lovely day of perfect being busy

Have a wonderful Friday all x

Morning all, not a very nice day here although it is not raining at the moment. Miss Osc and family have gone to the zoo, you have to book ahead, you are allotted a time, and they are only allowing a small amount of people in at any given time. I hope the rain stays off for them. This is to give Michael and Kellie a day out in place of their school trips which would have happened this week.

I drove Edward to the golf club, then came back and phoned M&S as I got an order from them this morning with one item missing. Thankfully, I was told it is coming separately. I’ll go for a walk shortly, then make a batch of soup, and I might do some ironing this afternoon. It looks like our hairdressers will be allowed open on Monday week :Hi: which would be wonderful as I am totally fed up with my hair now.

Morning all. Strange weather here. Very rainy but quite warm as well. Growing weather, I suppose.
I have driven MrsC and her sis to their dad's and picked up a paper and a prescription.
Chicken pie for tea tonight which I am looking forward to.
Apart from that a quiet day.
Have a good one all.

Morning all......almost

Woke up to rain, not heavy, but definitely wet. Don't think it's going to get much better today, but at least it's warm.

Hope your new hob arrives on time Ria.
My sister in Oz says the same Saundra, they really haven't gone through the big changes we're dealing with. Like New Zealand, they totally shut their borders very early on.
I know what you mean Osc, I'm totally fed up with my hair too.

Well another Friday's arrived and the washing's on. The big excitement in our day will be the Sainsbury delivery this afternoon. Their e-mail says everything's in stock, whoop, whoop

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Well, I didn't get to do the walk/picnic with Jennifer after all :( . Our respective phones showed todays' forecast was set to rain, and as we'd planned a little picnic as well as a walk, we decided it might be better to wait till it was dry, and rearranged our meet til Monday. Course as soon as that decision was made, the weather was nice! Well, nice-ish…..enough for Tom and I to take a drive down to Seaburn beach. It was really misty when we got there, felt a bit spooky to be walking along the beach with shapes of people and dogs looming....then it went more out to sea and the sun tried to poke through. It was really warm, I was wearing a hoodie but took that off after a while. Managed also to get a takeaway latte - plus we called at Dalton Park on the way home and T got Amy some M&S PJs as it's her birthday this Monday.

Pouring down now and looks set for the rest of the day

How exciting Ria!! I really missed my gas hob when I got my new kitchen, got sick of cleaning the trivets and around the knobs, so I went for an electric hob with no raised bits whatsoever - I love the look of it but it's nowhere near as controllable as gas  I think I should have opted for an induction myself - you'll soon be...ahem....cooking on gas!

Have a good rest of Friday, and stay dry!! xx
