Because it's an ancient TV, Saundra, and there's only one aerial socket in the house, which is unfortunately at the far end of the room being painted! We could watch TV on the 'puter, but the screen's a bit too small ....

The first coat is now on - it's a shade of yellow - and it will look lovely on a sunny day (which today definitely is not ...)

Glad your rail journey went OK, Meriad. They are saying a full timetable should be restored from 6th July, I think.

Afternoon all, it is dull here but warm enough. I walked over as far as the golf club with Edward this morning, and then back, over 4km. When I got back, I went to the shops and the post office. Had a few chats, including two women who had just been to my hairdresser, they were delighted with themselves. I’ve made some buns which I will ice later - we are going on a walk with Michael tomorrow including a little picnic, then he and Kellie are going to have their dinner here, it’s been a looooooong time since that last happened and the buns won’t last very long! I need to tidy up the kitchen, and will do some ironing shortly.
