Afternoon all, I sit before you beautifully coiffed, not a grey hair in sight and back to my normal hairstyle. Edward’s hair is all nice and tidy too :D The weather is mixed, mostly cloudy, we’ve just been for a nice stroll. No plan for the rest of the day.

Good afternoon - sunny intervals here, and it has been dry.

The painting has finished! 8-) Now comes the task of repatriating all the furniture back to its rightful home, mostly from the garage. We are desperately trying to remember where everything went!

Similar here - we have 19 plants from germination and possibly more seedlings coming up even now in the pots I've planted the 19 out in. Offered some to our neighbours who have taken three; I can't identify them by variety yet (there were three different types sown in the coconut fibre matting), so J. took on 2 x Chicken and Mushroom and 1 x Chow Mein - I had planted them out in Pot Noodle pots!

Hope you get the negative result, Crommers, so you can get that move into a care home.
Disappointing about the Covid situation, Jenni; Master O is in East Sussex (Eastborne Hospital) and I gather Covid admissions are only now beginning to tail off a bit.
It looks very nice, Osc! :D

Stay safe, all ....

More from me - have you had his results back yet? I hope it's a negative x

It's been quite grey and damp here too, but the sun came out for a bit earlier and I sat in the garden to eat my banana sandwich and cuppa 8-) Just feels like a regular day off after the turmoil of yesterday, I think furlough is fab and I want to be on it always  :D I'm going to volunteer for P/T furlough if we have it offered (depends on demand, and we have quite a lot so unlikely, but still) ;)

I took myself out into Durham for a walk round the city. More shops open now (I went in a couple) but Café Nero were doing takeouts so I grabbed a latte and sat in the marketplace to drink it. It was lovely, comforting, familiar, peaceful....plenty of people about, but all SD 8-) I'd dropped my results from the weeklong BP figures at the surgery, fully expecting them to increase my meds, but got a call back while I was out to say continue with what I've got, so mustn't be as bad as I thought 8-)

Drove up again to the new B&M, queues wayyyyyy long so came away, went to The Range and Lidl for bits, then home. Just had a visit from the kids and D, which was nice but they're so out of control atm, it's almost embarrassing! It's clear they take no notice of D at all.

Enjoy the rest of Thursday! x

Gal I haven't been into our city centre since March, but am planning to next week. Good for you, and glad it felt so "normal" 8-)

Mick and I are going to brave The Quays on Saturday, as Corretto's are reopening - we will sit outside though, there are big parasols if it rains 8-)

Fingers crossed for a negative result x

Gal, glad you had a good day and that your readings didn’t cause any concern. Me and Joe went into Stafford last Friday afternoon as he needed new jeans for work from Primark and wanted my help seeing as changing rooms are closed, he thinks I can judge sizes better than him and he’s lost a bit of weight so couldn’t get his usual ones. It wasn’t too bad in there at all and we didn’t have to queue outside. There was a fella on the door with one of those clickers, counting people in. The queuing system for the tills had been redesigned too and worked well.

Kaz, we’ve been to our favourite coffee shop in Lichfield a couple of times for takeaways and then gone to the park opposite with them. It’s been lovely to be able to do that. Enjoy a bit of normality on Saturday!

I was okay with Stafford and Lichfield but not sure I’d want to venture into Birmingham yet, especially as I’d have to use the train. The thought of using public transport worries me. People have been complaining about trains and the lack of social distancing on those on our line.
