It's true, just be sensible.
Unfortunately there are too many people out there who don't have the brains they were born with and who have never had any sense whatsoever

Why would pubs want/need to be open at that hour in the morning :?

In saying that, our local pubs, back in Chipping Sodbury were open virtually 24 hours - and still are  :cute:

You’re not wrong there, and they become even more stupid when alcohol is involved.

Jan, before we moved I used to walk past a Wetherspoons on the way to the gym at 6.45 every morning and every morning without fail there’d be a few waiting outside for it to open at 7.
During the warmer weather they’d be sitting outside with their pints when I walked back again.

Last year a few town centre pubs applied for an extension to open through to 5am Christmas morning. How many Christmases did that ruin I wonder?

To me there is no excuse for that MM.
Or late night drinking at all really. I remember talking to a taxi driver years ago who told me that the people who came out of pubs at 11pm were usually fine; the people who could get really nasty were people coming out of clubs in the early hours "with God knows what in their system".
If I was dictator of England no pub or club would be allowed to be open after 11pm. Maybe an exception for New Years Eve.

Jo, many years back when I used to catch the bus from Waterloo station towards Docklands we drove past a pub next to London Bridge station, it was always open at 8am and quite full. I often wondered about it until someone pointed out that it catered to the night shift people that were working at Borough Market / London bridge hospital etc. From memory it would close at 9am for a clean etc and then reopen for the usual day at 11am.
