Good morning.

Scorchio. 8-)

A walk now, back for a swim then nipping over to Jacob's who wants to show us his new sofa.

Couple of beers early doors and we'll bring a campero and chips back to eat whilst watching Masterchef.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Just getting light and looks quite cloudy  The forecasts say the clouds will be gone by 10.00 and we'll be in for our normal summers day 8-)

Pootling this morning, will have a swim, water the new tomatoes - all 41 of them  :o Think some-one got a little over enthusiastic

Meeting Fatima at 4.00, when she finishes work and will follow her to her house and Grumpy can then put together her new garden bench :D

Will probably have a pit-stop at he bar on the way back ;)

Have as good a day as you can everyone xx

Morning all

Ally, enjoy the day - I long for some sunshine and warmth, I really do :(
Jan, I need to count how many tomato plants I have, I think it's about 30 spread between the allotment and the greenhouse. It's a very funny year for them here in he UK, the warmth earlier in May / beginning June made them grow like mad and now that they need the warmth to flower and fruit it's gone a tad nippy again. Oh well - I'm sure between all those plants I'll get some fruit ;-) I desperately need to get to the allotment to see what is happening there; haven't been in ages

Kaz, I did Sainsbury's click and collect this morning; pick up 7am - it's perfect and I'm back home by 7.20 :D I need to tidy a bit as I'm picking up a friend at 1ish to come here for lunch. She doesn't drive so Karl (bless him) will pick her up on his way home after work; she lives not far from them so it's not too much out his way which helps

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all :D

Rain overnight, just dull and overcast right now, but more wet stuff forecast :?

Another groundhog day here, nothing much happening. We'd like to drive over to the clifftop for a little walk, but don't think the weather's going to behave.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Afternoon all, a mixed day weather wise, but no rain thank goodness. We got our supermarket delivery this morning, got everything we wanted and only two substitutions. The post brought some lovely masks made by my cousin in America, I have a lovely selection now. I’ve been to the library, it was great to be allowed to browse and I came home with a nice selection to keep me occupied. On the way back, some of my gym friends were waiting to go into the gym for their class so it was nice to have a quick chat. I will go back next week. I’ll go out for a walk shortly, need my exercise!

Dull and overcast here, with a little light rain just now.

We are a tad physically and emotionally exhausted after SiL's visit yesterday, so a really lazy day today! I've just been through our remaining Brexit boxes, which morphed into Coronavirus boxes when everyone was panic-buying and expecting to be incarcerated for months. I bought certain items (which seemed like a good idea at the time  ) which we probably will never use, like Nutella and Twinings flavoured teas, and I completely overstocked on other lines (tinned vegetables and tuna, and pasta) ..... shuffled one bag of the latter off on SiL and Master O may be the lucky recipient next time he comes to visit, possibly in August. Otherwise it's the food bank.

I've reduced our tomato plants, Meriad, by giving 3 away to neighbours and 3 to SiL but I've still got 13 left. As you say, the weather isn't exactly helping them at the moment, but the courgettes are going bananas! :D
Our libraries have been cleared to re-open generally, Osc, but locally they are still shut. I have around 30 paperbacks on my shelves still to read, so it's no hardship and the local library isn't particularly well stocked anyway. The trouble is they have become more community hubs and book-lending now seems to be a subsidiary activity. :|

Have a good day all.

Bench delivered this afternoon, A very happy Fatima :Hi:

And happy us, as we were given two rather good bottles of wine 8-)

Popped into the bar, everyone being very good, distance wise. Also getting waited on, to save us going in.

Been rather warm again, and due to me having a sciatica problem, not been in the pool, but will try tomorrow.

Problem getting Grumpy's inhaler, the doc wanted to see him, made appointments, then I cancelled as we had three cases of the virus in Ourique and no way on earth would I let him go to the centro de saude. But she is insisting  She's on holiday from now until August, so I've been dealing with one of the receptionists and she will make sure a doc sends me the prescription to my phone tomorrow, as he runs out in a few days.

Blasted doctors, she has me going for a rake of blood tests, wants me to see a specialist about Gladys, have a hearing test  and when I do actually go in next month, my weight, bp etc is being checked. Then, no doubt, she'll want Grumpy to do similar

All well and good, having a new doc and them wanting to check you out, but please, not at the moment.

I really don't want him to have to go in, but they're pretty good there, sanitizer, temperature check and only two people allowed into the actual place at any one time. Then the whole room is cleaned once you've left.

Sorry, rant over

Aw, it's a worry Jan, but I guess there's no choice if he needs his inhalers, and it's good they're being thorough? And with you too. Sounds like they are taking every precaution with the sanitizing (((x)))
