Good customer service

Postby JoM » 11 Jul 2020, 18:28

I managed to break the water tank on our 15 month old coffee machine yesterday afternoon so started to look for a replacement online, found a few but there were reviews saying that they weren’t the best fit so in the end I decided to call Nespresso and probably pay out a small fortune for a proper branded one. This was at about 4pm.

I got straight through to speak to someone who took the serial number and then asked if someone would be home in the next few days for the parcel delivery, I had my card out ready to pay and asked how much it was and was told it was free of charge and delivery was free too.

I got up this morning and checked my emails, this was at 7am, and there was one from Yodel informing me that my Nespresso parcel would be delivered today, and sure enough it arrived just after 10am.

How good is that?

I always send a letter of thanks when I get good service.
At begiining of June got a leak in the garage. Rain water was coming down one of the joists under the roof onto electrical wiring.
Phoned our insurance company just after 10.00 a.m. They sent a text to say an engineer would come between 11.45 a.m and 14.00 p.m.
He arrived soon after 1.oo p.m. Found that some of the mortar above part of the lead flassing had come out. He applied some sealant along the joint. Seems to have stopped the leak.
Not had to pay anything and we had only ben on cover with that insurance company since 1st June 2020.
So have sent a letter thanking then for the good service.

Just to add to this thread - we have Nespresso coffee at work. Our coffee machine is on a contract and with that contract we have to buy a certain number of capsules every month. Well obviously we haven't been in the office since mid-March so no need. Nespresso have all this time delayed our recurring order, not charging us and willing to review on a month to month basis.

This can't be doing them any good, but I do know that when the time comes and we ever need to change machine / supplier - I'll make sure we stick with Nespresso

Well done them again!

The local deli cum bistro has a Nespresso machine and there is an enormous selection to choose from. You get a black coffee (espresso) and either a capsule of milk or cream or nothing at all and with sugar or not.

I always choose black with a top up of cold water and its as good a coffee as from anywhere. ;) :D :D

I'm probably one of the few people that really doesn't like Nespresso coffee - to me it always has a slightly bitter burnt flavour
