Afternoon everyone :)

It's been a busy few days, a very pleasant outing to the garden centre with the panoramic countryside views yesterday - I got some lavender plants - and we had a very pleasant cuppa sat outside their cafe. This morning I've been cleaning, got some laundry done, and have just got back from seeing D.

Love to all xx

Afternoon all, it’s mostly cloudy here but not cold. I had a phone consultation with the radiation oncologist this morning and am now discharged from her care :D I did the household filing which I have not done in months, and then some ironing. I want to clean the bathrooms and that should be it for the day.

Wonderful news Osc!!!

We've had a mixed bag of weather today - we drove up to Craster, around 10 minutes in the car, and then walked along to Dunstanburgh Castle and on to the golf course, up to the farm and back into the village, just under 6 miles altogether. Weather was cloudy mainly but warm, the sun peeped out a few times too. Delicious scone and a latte for lunch in the Shoreline Cafe, bit of a wait to get in but then they had a load of free tables (?) Tom had an infamous Craster crab sandwich and a tea :) We've been back at the van for an hour or so and it's drizzled a bit but now the sun is trying to pop out again. Not bothered as long as it doesn't pour, or is cold!

Only 3 full days left!! Where did our holiday go????

Gal, I’d love a crab sandwich now you’ve mentioned them. As soon as I feel I can head back into Birmingham I think I’ll go to the fish market for a tub of fresh crabmeat.

Ria, the cafe Shannon runs is tiny so they’ve not really had much choice about the outside tables. They could only really maintain social distancing by having one table inside, they can usually seat 12 customers. They’re in a picturesque little town on the edge of the Peak District so the nice weather over the weekend meant that they were run off their feet.

Been in the pool three times so far today

Just rung the doc, as requested by her, wanted to make sure my ear was okay - berlimey

Also that we have made an appointment to see her with all the blood tests and Grumpy's ecg next month.

Amazing the amount of care we're getting here. I've even got her personal (work) e-mail

Still rather hot, I'm mad cooking tonight, but hey ho, we can eat outside. Apparently, that counts as eating out out  Not in my book, it doesn't
