Maria Jose (Jose Felipe's mum) has just been up with the eggs. She also brought a ginormous courgette and a couple of cucumbers.

Went home with a couple of plants

But she had a walk around our garden and told us off   again  Our veggie plot is in the wrong place, so she's going to tell her son to come up with his rotavator and do us a new one   As well as bringing a lot of estrume (manure) as our land is quite sterile.

So that's another job for Grumpy, putting in new fence posts and fencing

Tom’s just got suited up and gone to the school he’ll be working at from September.

It’s Year 6 transition evening, where the children who will be starting at the school in Sept go in and learn a bit about what happens, so he’s gone to meet his tutor group. Initially it was going to be a video meeting from home, then things changed to a small group of children in school as they usually do vertical tutor groups (where they have a mix of all, ages 11-16) so there were only going to be around 8 new starters, but that’s currently not allowed as they have to stay with their year group all day so he now has a group of 30 11 year olds to meet tonight. Rather him than me!

I don't normally drink green wine - Casal Garçia - but in this hot, it's lovely and refreshing 8-)

We have a great nephew. We knew Rich and Jess’s baby (that’s John’s oldest nephew and his wife) was due this week and John messaged Jess this morning to see how she was and Rich replied this afternoon with photos of a 9lb 7oz baby boy and Jess looking as fresh as a daisy!

The odd thing is though that he was born yesterday morning and we hadn’t heard a peep out of John’s Mom or sister.

He’s flippin’ gorgeous btw.

Congratulations on the new addition to the extended family Jo!

Jan, no chance of the coppers hauling him off in chains? ;)
