Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 16 Jul 2020, 05:41

Good morning.

Hot.

Just a swim today....giving my running legs a rest.

Apart from reading and cooling by the pool the only important thing I need to do is change my flight.

How's FIL doing Crommers?

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Yes, rather warm already 8-)

Watering done. General pootling this morning and this afternoon we're off to Aljustrel for Grumpy to have an ecg and echocardiogram. It's almost an hours drive and we'll be able to see the extent of the fire earlier in the week.

Pit stop at the bar on our way back.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you«re doing xx

Morning all :)

That sounds good Ally 8-) xxx

Good luck to Grumpy for his tests Jan :) xxx

Enjoy your pootling Cruiser :) xx

Early start here as Mick drove B to work for a 7.45 start. She started her driving lessons again yesterday, thank goodness ;) I'm shopping at Sainsbury's this morning, then seeing my friend A for a quick cuppa this afternoon, not seen her for absolutely ages so we'll have tons to catch up on 8-)

Have a good day everyone :) xx

He is OK so far Ally, thanks. :) They are lovely people at the CH so he should be good.
Today i need to contact the coal board pension scheme to notify them of the change of address (they want to see the power of attorney - everybody wants to see it, it's a right faff) and a couple of other bits.
MrsC and her sister have gone to the bungalow to see what's left and clean up a bit.
It is a nice morning here atm, sunny but with some clouds; we may get a shower later.
Have a great day everybody. :)

Good morning all, it’s dull here and a bit drizzly..

I’ve already done my 10000 steps this morning and then some  I walked Bill, dropped him back at home and fed him and then went to the Co Op and the post office in McColls next door to it for stamps and to pay some money into our Barclays account. It’s my aunty’s birthday on Monday, the aunt who lost her husband last week, and I didn’t want to ignore her birthday but the only cards I’ve got in the drawer are for celebrating birthdays which isn’t really appropriate. The Co Op always have a good selection of Hallmark cards so I bought an open one with a nice photo of scenery on the front. Anyway, I took that home and wrote on it and then me and Bill walked over to McColls to put it in the post box.

Good to hear that your father in law is settling in well Crommers, hope the bungalow clearance goes well. I remember when we had to do our Nan’s and we didn’t have much time with it being a council one but we even got her favourite plants out of her garden and shared them amongst us all  Thing is though that she loved her garden and we couldn’t stand the thought of the new occupiers moving in and trashing the plants she’d cared for so much.

Hope Becky’s lessons are going well Kaz, fingers crossed that she’ll soon pass her test x

Have a good day all x

Morning all :D

Very dark and overcast, looks like we're in for a storm.

Hope Grumpy's test results are good Jan.

Glad to hear FIL is settling in Crommers, good luck to Mrs.C and her sister sorting the bungalow.

Not sure what we're doing today, E's feeling a bit better so we were planning to go for a little walk, will have to see if the clouds blow away.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

It is a lot of red tape Crommers :( Glad he's ok so far as

Jo, I remember how difficult clearing mum and dad's place was, but at least we could wait a few weeks - having to clear straight away, for the council, must be hard (((x)))

Actually, Becky's first lesson back felt good, she said, so fingers crossed she might finally pass! She has an incentive as Harry is almost test ready, he just needs to pass his theory, and she'd hate her little brother to get there first :P :cute:  ;)

Glad E is feeling better Jen xx

Hello all - well in the office today so a bit of a different day. Trains as quiet as ever but amazing how some people just think the rule of wearing a mask when on a train doesn't apply to them

Admittedly the jury is out whether they work or not - there is just so much conflicting research / advice etc.... but still rule is rule so stick to it.

funny weather today so just as well I'm here and not at home - can't do much in the garden and not in the mood for sorting today :D

Hope Grumpy's test went OK Jan
Crommers, glad FiL seems OK; definitely the best place for him (and the rest of the family). And I hope Mrs C and her sister manage to sort things with the bungalow and good luck to you with all the admin bits and bobs.
Fingers crossed for Becks, Kaz
Jo, know what you mean re cards - glad you found a nice one
Jen, good to hear that E is feeling better
Ally, hope the flight change goes smoothly
Cruiser and everyone else, have a lovely day

Afternoon all, it’s a nice day here, sun and cloud but nice and warm. We had a lovely day with Miss Osc and family in Wicklow yesterday, Michael and Kellie are having a great time with the space and freedom. SIL and Michael were coming back here for soccer training in the evening, SIL had to collect something in the city so he left early and Michael came with us, he chatted all the way and it was nice to have him to ourselves. We will probably go again next week.

Today we had our shopping delivery, all present and correct. Then I went to the gym. Edward was to play golf this early evening, which is unusual for him, but when I came back from the gym, he said he had cancelled as he is not feeling great, stiff neck and heavy head. I’m going to hang out the washing as no rain is forecast, and I want to finish my book. Glad to hear FIL had a good first night, Crommers.
