Good afternoon everybody.

Very changeable weather. Have had heavy showers and sunny periods.
Walked for the paper and then went in the car for our prescriptions. Have done some weeding after lunch in the front garden.

Waiting for a courier to come and bring a new printer. Decided to buy a laser mono printer as I very rarely print in colour. Had an Epson All in One. Cost of replacement ink cartridgs nearly as much as a new printer.
The new printer was delivered on 16th July. Found I could not print envelopes. It has a seperate tray and feed for manual feed of single items.
So after two long phone calls it was decided that there wasa fault and it would be replaced.
The drop off and pick up will be the last call by the courier. Will have to transfer the original one into the box in which the new one is being delivered.

Good afternoon - breezy and quite pleasant out there, sunny intervals and large clouds.

Just finished my first shopping expedition wearing a muzzle, sorry, face covering . I went to Iceland which is usually pretty quiet. 100% compliance in store, very few wearing masks outdoors. I took the opportunity to do a reasonably-sized stock-up on Clover, Stork, corned beef (they had no Spam), Alpen and washing-up liquid, at prices much lower than Waitrose! Also pleased to find they've now got a supply in of "Hunger Break" tins for the first time since lockdown commenced; they are the poor man's version of Heinz Beanz and Sausage, with added meaty things you probably wouldn't want to enquire too deeply into the provenance of ....

Managed not to fiddle with the face covering, but didn't really like the sensation. I guess I'll just have to get used to it.

Mrs O is up at the hairdressers; I'm awaiting a call to go pick her up once she's finished.

Ossie, I prefer muzzle too I tried John’s cycling buff yesterday when I went to the post office and the Co Op to see if it would look and feel any more ‘normal’ but it was so hot to wear. I had to stand on the car park in between shops to cool down a bit. I don’t like the feel of anything on my nose, never have done and my sister used to wind me up by touching my nose when I was little because she knew I hated it, so I’ll only be going to the shops as a last resort now I think.

Have you tried a snood Ossie? It's basically a cloth tube. Wear it on your neck, pull it up when you go into a shop, down when you come out.

Ria, fil isn't settling brilliantly. He's never been a sociable person so it's not too surprising. As we just finished clearing the bungalow last Friday though, he's out of options.

Crommers, when my father had to go into a home, he hated it, loathed it with a passion, Not sociable boke, loved his pint and footie and the ladies .

We couldn't have him where we lived, as the loo was literally halfway up the stairs, think dog leg too But we eventually got him into a better room, organised taxis to the local pub for the footie and he eventually accepted it. Not happily, but still.

Patience, he'll get used to it.
