Good Morning Wednesday

Postby JanB » 29 Jul 2020, 05:23

Morning everyone

Stunning sunrise, so another lovely day 8-)

Will do the watering once it's fully light, breakfast then off to do our weekly run around Ourique ;) Analysis clinic to collect the blood tests, hardware shop for stain for the new doors Grumpy made, >Chinese for a marker pen and then the joy of Pingo  Coffee on the way home and I'll make a new sign for our post box as it's faded in the sun.

Grumpy will stain the new doors and I'll think of something to do - a swim probably

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning you two, morning everyone

a lovely sunny start to the day and promising to be a very comfortable temperature (for us in the UK at least - arctic for you two :D ). Whizzing around the house to clean and tidy; have a friend coming over for lunch.

Chickens still being loud! :?

Ally, I haven't been following totally - what is the latest re your travel; you mention printing your boarding pass? Such a nightmare all of this, isn't it?
Jan, hope you get everything done you need doing

Have a lovely day everyone xx

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny right now 8-)

Up at silly o'clock as I'm taking my car over to the garage my neighbour recommended. The chap said it would be okay to drive, hope he's right and I don't get stranded half way there. Fingers crossed it's nothing serious and can be easily fixed, if not I guess it will have to stay over there and I'll have to get a taxi home. Not too keen on that, but I've got my mask sooooo.......

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Ria...I need to go on the gov.uk thingy and fill in a form giving loads of details, where I've travelled from, where I'm staying, how long for, reason for visit. Shoe size.

I put my boarding pass on the Ryanair app on my phone. Did that earlier.

Can't do the easyJet one till 28 days before my flight so will just do that at dad's.

Quarantine says I can go out for essentials which I will do. Dad's not driving anymore, Michele can't at the moment as she has a knee replacement op scheduled for August 24 so I'm the designated driver. As there's a massive Tesco 5 minutes from dad's house I'll mask up and walk there.

There's a running machine in the garage which I'll give big licks to.

Of course, this is the state of play today.

I believe Ms Sturgeon is giving an update tomorrow.

Morning all. Grey windy and none too warm here. 20c is predicted - I'llbelieve that when i see the sun!
MrsC and sis both have hairdressing appointments today! :Hi:
May do a Tesco run today. The have a red wine from Gascony called Les Tuguets Madiran. You needs to decant it for up to two hours but it is really nice and only £7 a bottle. The last time I went it was reduced to £6, which is a bargain and a half.
Waiting for a reply from HMRC, still can't work out a BT package. The only sport I watch it for is MotoGP so I'm going to look and see if Now TV do that. Plus maybe the First 48 crime show, which I do like.
Off for a paper now and then for something for tonight's evening meal.
Have a nice day all.

It's a gearbox oil leak. Brian, the mechanic, is going to ring Suzuki to order two new pipes and will ring me later today or tomorrow morning to let me know when to take the car back to be fixed. He said I can use it, but obviously not to go too far, no problem I haven't got anywhere I need to be until next week. Hopefully he can get it sorted by then, he says it shouldn't be too expensive so fingers crossed.

I do love a wine bargain Crommers, we managed to stock up with 12 bottles of Freixenet when it was discounted to £6 down from £11 :D :D
