Afternoon all, it was nice earlier when I was out for a walk, but gradually clouded over and got quite cool, even a little rain. I tidied around and cleaned the bathroom, then met some of the gym ladies for coffee and chat. Big excitement this evening, we are going out for something to eat! It’s the pub next door, they have their restaurant very well organised for social distancing, sanitising etc. and you have to book. I’ve even decided what to wear

Good afternoon all, it’s far too hot here.

I’m in the living room with two fans blowing towards me and an ice pack on my hand. Something bit me yesterday morning while I was out with Bill and my hand is now rather swollen and very itchy. I treated it as soon as I got home too, in the hope it’d lessen the reaction but it didn’t. I’ve been to Boots this morning to see if there was any cream that I hadn’t yet tried and I found one over the counter but it’s not helped at all. I was hoping to find something nice to spend the Boots giftcard on that I had for my birthday while I was in there but it was too hot wearing a mask to browse and we’ve only got smaller stores with not much choice around here anyway. I’d order something online but they don’t accept giftcards, they can only be used instore

Saundra, I’m glad your trip out went well. My Dad’s been going for little walks around the block but my Mom hasn’t been out since March. They’ve got me and my sister shopping for them and my 82 year old aunty has been picking things up for them too. They’re not letting anyone in the house either so everything gets put on the doorstep and we then stand back for a chat.
