This house I think I posted last year. It’s just around the corner and was our Plan B house if finances didn’t stretch far enough for this one as it was something like £15,000 cheaper. The new people moved in last Summer and now it’s up for sale again. They’ve converted the garage into a utility room and dining area and put in another French door. Quite odd that they’re moving so soon after doing that, and they’re an older couple so I assume the children’s room is for grandchildren as I’ve never actually seen them with children.
Anyway the price...we had to look twice at that! It was £195,000 when we were considering it and it sold for £250,000 last September, now it’s for sale for offers around £295,000 :o

This is at the bottom of our close, they’ve knocked through the dining room wall and created a huge kitchen - I love what they’ve done there. I was talking to Chrissie who owns it at the VE Day party and she said they were thinking of moving and she was torn because she likes it around here so much but they don’t like the position of the house on that corner as the other road is the main one through the estate.

Wow, that's a huge price-hike, isn't it? Have the prices round by you gone up by that much in general, as ours don't seem to have!

Both of those have been done beautifully Jo, I am particularly envious of the second kitchen-cum-family room in the second one, and the dressing-room! All that wardrobe space   8-)

I hadn’t really noticed much of a price rise (although its not often that houses on our estate come up for sale so it’s hard to judge) but both have already sold!

Having said that, John’s Mom bought her house in South Wales for £123,000 7 years ago and the house next door (with an identical layout, just a different style frontage) has just gone on the market at £175,000.
Mother in law’s house is the one with the grey door.
