Good Morning Sunday

Postby JanB » 02 Aug 2020, 07:04

Morning everyone

Blowy this morning, so making it feel cool. Hotting up later 8-)

Had a lie-in until 7 this morning :? and the watering took an hour

Treating ourselves to a proper cooked breakfast this morning :Hi:

Pool and not a lot for the day. I've got some washing in the machine, so will need to make sure that doesn't go flying later

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

Enjoy your relaxing day, Jan :) xx

We're out having a coffee, going to grab the papers on our way home :) Lamb chops and roasted Mediterranean veg for dinner later, and some very fancy locally made chocolate ice cream that Becky ordered for our pud 8-) Washing on the line before we came out, as it's a sunny, breezy day :)

Have a good day everyone :) xx

I did Saundra, it looked like a football match crowd had just turned out! Daughter went to Northumberland last month and it was very quiet.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

Blimey 7 hours Crommers

Some of our beaches have been swamped, especially feel very sorry for people living over by Botany Bay. There's very little official parking over there which means people are blocking the streets and leaving cars across driveways. The mess they leave behind is disgraceful.

Raspberry blancmange and jelly nicely setting in the fridge. I'll be cooking a chicken to go with salad later. Otherwise it's a quiet lazy day in the garden with my kindle.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Afternoon all, mixed weather today. Howth is pretty busy, bank holiday weekend here. Earlier on, Edward, (with his very capable assistant ;) ) put new big house numbers outside. Honestly, you give them directions - beside the Abbey Tavern, looks like a shop but isn’t, grey shop front - and they still ring and say where are you  We already have the number on the door beside the letterbox but now we have BIG numbers on the shop front fascia board as well. We’ve had lunch, Edward is flicking between golf and snooker, and I’m vaguely thinking about tidying the wardrobe downstairs....or I could read my book ;)

Mixed weather here, too - it was pleasant if sultry when we had a walk out about an hour ago but since we came back, we've had a brief rain shower.

Just completed this week's batch of baking, so we're knocking off for the rest of the day. :D

We are home. Boooo!!!!  I LOVE Northumberland - did I tell you? :D Could quite easily up sticks and live there tomorrow....you need a lottery win though, everywhere is so expensive!! It was GORGEOUS when we had breakfast on the decking, so sunny and warm.....we stripped the bed and got the car packed up and drove to Lesbury (the nearest village) parked up and walked along to Alnmouth, we thought it would be hard to park mid morning but the weather forecast must have put some off, as it was meant to rain. We walked the mile or so to Alnmouth and had a drink and a toasted teacake and then back to the car. When the sun went in it was chilly.....got home in just over an hour and since then it's been washing and dodging the showers to get them dry. Lovely now with a breeze so SHOULD be quick!

When we arrived up there on Friday, there were NO parking spaces and the beach was heaving, even the one on 'our' side which is usually really quiet - we went for a walk along it when the tide went out a bit and there were still lots there, we both said we'd never seen it so busy - but it IS summer holidays in the area, so maybe that didn't help
