Good Morning Tuesday

Postby JanB » 11 Aug 2020, 06:54

Morning everyone

Dull and grey start again, but that soon goes and we have a lovely day forecast 8-) Loving the cooler weather, sleeping much better :D

Work outside this morning :Hi: Nothing much, just a tidy up of the tomato plants and empty pots. Then ironing and off to see the doc with the test results this afternoon. I have one more test to go through, so will have to see her again. Will do the supermarket afterwards and have a pit-stop at the bar on the way back.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Jan, morning all

going to be another hot day today. Two, maybe three more days of it apparently and then temperatures go back down to the beginning 20's, even high teens which will be nippy compared to what we currently have :D . I'd be very happy with a steady 25 degrees; now that would be rather pleasant. I was at the allotment at 6.10 this morning to water - it's so lovely and peaceful that time of day

More general pootling today - hoping to collect an Argos order this morning but haven't had confirmation that it's ready yet. And whilst there (it's at the back of our Sainsbury's) I'll see if I can get another one or two jars of pickling vinegar. The beetroot at the allotment needs to come up but I don't want to lift it until I can do something with it so need to get the vinegar asap.

Not much else planned... Pizza for dinner this evening. Nadine's cousin Audrey and her family moved to the UK last year. It's their son Nathan's birthday today so birthday pizza to celebrate :D

Have a lovely day everyone x

Good morning, it’s starting to brighten up after a grey start. We didn’t get the storm that was forecast last night but there’s another forecast for tonight.

Bill decided that we were going to go on a LONG walk this morning....and walked me to where it’s really hilly which was lovely while it’s so humid :? After 5 miles my hair was HUGE!

I’ve just watered the garden and lawns and I’ll get the hoovering and ironing done before it’s gets too hot. I might see if I can get to grips with my sewing machine today. I’ve taken it out of the box, although it’s still in its plastic bag, and I called into Hobbycraft for fabric and thread on Friday so I’m all set

Hope all’s good with the tests Jan x

Enjoy the pizza Ria!

Have a good day all :)

Amazing timing there Ria, as I typed about your pizza I thought about how I hadn’t tried Domino’s until Joe’s birthday in lockdown and we’ve had it delivered regularly since (including my birthday) and a minute later there was a news item on the radio about how pizza sales have increased during lockdown and Domino’s have seen a sizeable increase in orders and deliveries (that’ll be us  )

   Jo

And funny too, just this second had a call from Nadine to say that Nathan would like Domino's pizza. Usually we have either the local delivery place Milano's or we have Pizza Express... Domino's is doing well :D

Good news on the cooler weather Jan. Enjoy the pizza Ria and I hope Bill appreciates what a lucky dog he is Ria.
A nice morning here, it's getting warm now. MrsC has walked Eliza down to the park and fed the ducks. The also saw a fish jump and a heron hanging around the edge of the lake.
The car is in the garage for some new bulbs. Later on we are having cottage pie for tea. Not ideal for the weather but we have some potatoes and mince that need using up.
I have had a tax refund from HMRC; I have absolutely no idea why but I'll take it anyway!
Have a good day all.

Btw I don’t usually share ‘selling’ posts on Facebook but the one I shared last night re the commissions for sketches is Amanda’s.

Crommers, we’ve got chicken pie for dinner tonight. I ordered it with last week’s Tesco delivery and today is the first time that there’ll be three of us for dinner so none will go to waste. It’s use by date is tomorrow and I’ve no room in the freezer so it’s got to be eaten.

Good morning everybody.

It is getting hot.
Auto electrician has been and fixed the car. The connection to the locking mechanism for the petrol flap had come loose. He applied a bit of special glue to stop it happening again.
Well worth the charge of £45.00. I did not want to try and fix it as I did not want to upset the car electrics.

Just relaxing his afternoon.
Have a good day everybody.
