Good Morning Wednesday

Postby JoM » 12 Aug 2020, 06:00

Good morning all, it’s a sunny one after a wet and stormy night. We’re forecast 31 today.

I’m heading out in a minute with Bill (humidity is 89% :? ), the washing is on the line as Joe needs it for the weekend so I’ve got it out early as we’re due more rain later. John’s on a site visit at BMW today so left early, Joe’s gone to work, Tom’s going to see Shannon later and I’ll be waiting for the Tesco order.

Have a good day all :D

Morning Jo, morning everyone

Grey, cloudy, not cold and we might, just might, have some rain this morning. The north has it, it might, just might, make it down here :Hi: :Hi:

A cool 26C for us today - I'd normally be saying "light the fire" at that sort of temperature

A gentle sort of morning, I think, sat on the drive, weeding. Grumpy will continue to make the bench and we're having arms on this one ;)

A new recipe for dinner, if it works, it can be added to the repertoire :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :D

Hot, hot, hot 8-)

Up at silly o'clock, the parts are in so I'm taking the car over to the garage to be fixed.

It's too hot to do much else, will probably spend the rest of the day in the garden.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Morning all :)

Similar temps here too Jo, Mick took the dogs out very early. They'll probably spend the rest of the day lying on the coolest bit of floor they can find ;)

Jen that sounds far more sensible than being out in it like me ;)

Jan it's cooler there than here - bonkers!

Well mad dogs and Englishwomen and all that, as I'm in M&S cafe having a drink after the hot walk into town! 85p for tea and a teacake - never thought I would thank a politician but thanks Rishi :P  I came in to get B some co-codamol as she's in pain from a nasty filling - I might post about her tooth saga on Health as it's a bit of a shocker really :? :( I've also bought D some cherries from the greengrocer she likes, as a bit of a treat. The supermarket ones can't hold a candle to them.

I had a WhatsApp from Ally, she's having a great time at her dad's and asked me to send her love to everyone. I've just posted on her behalf on the Brum sticky post :)

Stay cool everyone :) xxx

Afternoon all, it is mostly overcast here but warm. I’ve been doing bits and pieces, been to the local shops for a couple of things, and now I have a cake in the oven to bring to Wicklow tomorrow. Edward has placed our supermarket order and changed the time for it to arrive earlier in the morning before we get on the road to Wicklow.

Good afternoon all. Hot here now and humid. Got woken up last night by a thunderstorm. we have been to the PO to pay the gas and electric, to the opticians to get FiL's glasses and to Sainsburys for a few necessaries. I think that's it for the day, it is too hot to do much else.
Have a good day all.

It’s awful isn’t it Saundra, sounds like it could’ve been so much worse though had the train had more passengers.

Today has been unbearable. I can usually keep the house quite cool but I’ve failed today.

Good evening everybody.

It has been very hot. Ths morning I was i the garage puting wiring fir a LED floodlight. Am having a new door which will obstruct one of the flourescent lights when it is open. Also they sometimes flicker for several minutes before coming on. Will get an electrician to connect to the consumer unit and junction box.

This afternoon spent a couple of hours sunbathing. We bought two loungersWe like these as they have a thick cushion to lie onand have three positions.
Since having our dinner we have had a thunderstorm which seemed to be overhead. Very heavy rain and hailstones. The tv went off several times and I havr had to reset the clock on the cooker. The flags are now dry but there are still lots of grey clouds about.
We like listening to the young man who now gives the weather forecast. He wears a different coloured suit each evening.
There has been flooding in some parts of the region.
Have a good evening
