A blatant plug for a friend of mine

Postby meriad » 27 Aug 2020, 14:42

if any of you like e-books / crime novels.... my friend is an author and writes under the name of Sadie Gordon Richmond. One of her books - Front Page News - is currently for free on Amazon as an ebook. So please download and see what you think :D xxx

Doesn't look as though I can get it as I don't have an account nor a Kindle. Shame. :(

it doesn't make ideal reading but you can download the kindle app onto your smart phone or a tablet? And not sure why you'd need a separate account to your amazon one; it should work I'd have thought?

But thanks for looking and trying anyway - much appreciated x

I've downloaded it now Ria.

If I enjoy it I'll be purchasing the other 3 that I can see available. :D

Trying to download it now, but Amazon is sending me round in circles! It looks like a good read, so I'll keep trying :)

Oh Shell, that is amazing. Not just because you've enjoyed them, but the wine industry in SA is really struggling due to Covid because the government has banned the sale of cigarettes and alcohol for so long; so every bottle purchased abroad is helping just a teeny bit to keep at least some of the places afloat. It's heartbreaking because the wine industry employs so so many people

So thank you!

You posted a while ago about how hard things are in South Africa and asked us to give the wines a try so I have. As I said I have enjoyed finding them and will keep going as they are really nice :D
