Good morning Monday

Postby Ally » 31 Aug 2020, 00:54

Good morning.

Although my time here weather wise has been so lovely, a nice pleasant warmth on the whole, I find myself (thanks to Don) preparing for stupid heat when I fly home tomorrow. :P

Dad's taking me out for lunch today and he's asked if I'll drive him to the old Caterpillar site where he worked for many years. :D

Useless fact... it was 17 years ago today we moved to Spain. This is the first time we've not celebrated together. That will be rectified when I get home. :P

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Lovely, sunny morning and getting warmer this week - again

Washing machine on, watering done and general pootling is the order of the day.

Making a new chicken dish for tonight, thanks to a Portuguese friend giving me different recipes :Hi:

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning all. A lovely sunny morning here. The weather forecast is all to pot isn't it? It was supposed to be the coldest August bank holiday ever, but it is warm.
Daughter, son in law and Eliza have gone to The Deep in Hull, so we have Dobby the dog today.
I have found a dodgy transaction on my Barclaycard account so have got in touch with them on line and they responded within 24 hours; I'm getting a new card issued.
I'm glad you've had a lovely time with your dad Ally. Enjoy your new recipe Jan and the bike racing Saundra. I don't think I'm doing much today either Cruiser.
We have two Amazon parcels arriving today and I like to be in for them.
Have a good day all.

Morning all, it’s a stunning morning here. I walked over to the golf club with Edward and then walked back, it was beautiful. I’m going for a pedicure and eyebrow tint at 1pm, so will do a bit of ironing before I go. Michael and Kellie went back to school today, the entire country has its fingers crossed that it will go well. They were both really looking forward to it. Saundra, we’ve been watching some of the cycling too, isn’t the countryside around Nice gorgeous.

Never been myself Saundra.
As an eleven year old we did go on a camping/caravan holiday to a site in the hills behind St Raphael / Frejus in the south of France. For a kid from a northern pit village it was magical. The warmth, the stars on a night and the sounds of the cicadas. Wonderful.

Afternoon all :D

Bright and sunny, makes a nice change after the last few days. Don't know what the forecast says, there are a few dark clouds up there.

E was lucky yesterday, hardly any traffic on the roads so he was back in just over 4 hours. The test place is actually inside the RNOH grounds so I'm guessing that's why they do all their pre op testing there, keeps it in house. They told him if he doesn't hear from them to carry on as planned. He let me know when he was about 10mins out so I could pop the coffee machine on. After that, bless him he slept most of the afternoon. It made a lovely change having a proper roast, we've lived on salad for most of the summer, I hate cooking in hot weather.

No plans, we intend to be extremely lazy

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx
