Good Morning Tuesday

Postby JanB » 01 Sep 2020, 07:16

Morning everyone

A little cloudy this morning, but should be a warm day later.

Late start - blame those friends of ours

Won't be doing a lot today, there is some ironing, which I might do and I will cook what I should have cooked for dinner yesterday, today

Not sure what Grumpy will do with himself, now he's finished the tables. He might make some more 8-)

Safe journey to Ally x

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Jan, morning everyone.... although, where is everyone?

Woke up to a lovely sunny, but really nippy morning - 6 degrees only!!! Autumn I think is hitting with a vengeance. Done some work, got courgette soup on the go in the slow cooker and now need to vacuum and wash the floor mats. Heading into town later today for 2pm to meet up with a friend. She's having a really tough time at work (being bullied) and her boss has asked her to come in today at 1pm for a chat. She's dreading it and is terribly worried she's about to lose her job. Personally I'm hoping the boss has finally seen sense and realised jut what the bully is doing and is doing something about that person instead. But who knows....

Glad you had a good time last night Jan, always good to catch up with dear friends.

Have a lovely day all x

Morning you two :)

Glad you had such a nice time Jan :) ;) xx

Ria, your poor friend, like you I hope it's finally being sorted out. Some people never progress beyond the playground, do they?

I'm on the bus going to my hair appointment. I would usually walk from home but I nipped to town first. I think I will be a bit early actually :?

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny at the moment 8-)

Oh dear Ria, hope your friend's boss sorts the bullying.

It's been a bit manic here, lots of phone calls. Apparently the RNOH don't have one of E's blood tests, a pre op nurse rang to say Mr Palmer wanted him in today instead of tomorrow. They were going to try to get his transport put forward but in the end found it wasn't possible. Eventually Mr.P agreed he can go in tomorrow as planned, E's second on the list so there will be time for a blood test providing they do it as soon as he arrives. We were still in bed when the first call came through so it was action stations rushing around getting showered etc so he'd be ready for the transport. All this went on for nearly 2 hours we're both exhausted.........now breathe and back to normal

No plans for today, just need to make sure his bag is packed. His pick up is due anytime from 3am so I've suggested he goes back to bed for a few hours this afternoon and I'll do dinner a bit later than usual this evening. Expecting a Tesco order this afternoon and oh the excitement, my first M&S food delivery this evening :D

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Afternoon all, mixed weather here, cloud and sun, cool and warmer. I went to the library this morning and then to the post office to take out some money. After that I went to the gym and then had a cuppa with one of the other ladies. Back home now, I have a wash on and nothing much else planned.

Jen, best of luck for E tomorrow - pick up from 3am

Afternoon all. We have had Eliza today. It's been a nice day, plenty of warm sun.
Chicken pie for tea and I have to remember to put the bin out.
Enjoy the rest of your day. :)

ps Good luck with E's blood test jen.
