Jo, fingers crossed the test results come back asap. Friends of mine, the husband was showing symptoms and arranged a test and had the results with 24 hours so hopefully this will be as speedy.

Crommers, you're spot on - we have to eventually just 'get on with it' and let life continue with a few sensible precautions thrown in. Problem is too many people think the precautions are totally ridiculous and won't stick with them and they are the jenga block that's going to topple the tower. It needs to be law, like it is in Spain (I think - Ally correct me if I'm wrong) that the moment you put foot outside your property you need to put on a mask.

Osc, it's the time of year for sniffles any way - but as you say, one sniffle and a sneeze and people look at you like you're trying to kill them

Yes Ria, you're right.

Here in Spain mask wearing outside at all times is compulsory.

Watching the UK news last night made me go :o  :?

I meant to say Ria and Kaz.....remember at the meet we were discussing how different places were dealing with things?

On my return to Malaga (only 28 passengers on the plane!) at the border control our health forms were stridently checked. If you hadn't filled one in online you were taken aside to do so.

My temperature was taken....as it had been at Glasgow airport.

No news yet as to the child’s test result so Joe’s still at home.

He’s supposed to be back at college next week, he thinks one day a week, they’d thought that it’d be online but it’s changed to face to face.

That's just not on. It is not fair to the lad and his classmates, their families and then their work colleagues like Joe.

Having said that, in these weird times, no child (person) with the signs of anything out of the ordinary, even a cold, should be going to school (work). Just keep them home. They have already missed months of school so another day or two will not hurt, but sending them in could close a whole community down as things stand.

Joe’s back at work today, his boss called yesterday afternoon to let him know that the test was negative.

Frank, I agree. You’d think that we wouldnt be seeing situations where people struggle in, and allow their children to as well, with a cold etc.
