Good Morning Thursday

Postby JanB » 17 Sep 2020, 05:34

Morning everyone

Dark  Cool too. Waiting for the promised rain ;)

I will have my cooking head on this morning 8-) Curry for Saturday and prep for chicken and clams for tonight. Not done it with chicken before, but always happy to make something different.

Other than that, not a lot going on. If it rains, we'll just sit and watch it  We should have four days of it, so the garden will be happy and so will our water tables.

Hope E is continuing to improve and had a good night x

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Jan, morning everyone

lovely blue skies this morning, but decidedly nippy. I'm sitting here wearing a fleece jacket and slippers on my feet - yesterday was a summer dress :D

Not sure what the day will bring; have made a list of things to do and will see just how much of it I actually do get done - it's quite amazing just how good at procrastinating I am

Jan, hope you get that rain; as you say the garden and water table will be very happy.

Have a lovely day everyone x

Morning all, we got home yesterday afternoon after a beautifully relaxing few days in Wicklow. Just as well we had our staycation the past week, as Dubliners are now asked not to travel outside the county, Ireland is having its second wave of the virus and Dublin is not doing well. We have Michael and Kellie later on today as per usual Thursday. It’s a lovely Autumn day and I have washing on the line. I need to pop to the post office to collect something and then post it on to my brother (why do some sellers on Amazon find it not possible to post a dvd from the UK to Ireland  ). A few other bits and pieces to do before I collect Kellie.

Good afternoon.
Went to Sainsbury's this morning, it was quite busy. Also went looking for a bread maker but couldn't get the one I wanted so had to order it from Amazon.
It's a beautiful day here, very sunny.
Very tired, neither MrsC or myself are sleeping at all well atm and we have no idea why this should be.
Might toddle off to a garden centre this pm and do some batch cooking tonight.
Have a good day all.

Afternoon everyone :) xxx

We had a lovely evening yesterday, fish and chips and birthday cake round at D's! In fact it was double birthday cake, as I made a chocolate cake with buttercream icing, and my sister-in-law M had made a victoria sponge    :Hi: It was lovely to see both her and P, as we last saw them the week before lockdown.

I walked into town this morning, and meant to walk home, but I bought a meal deal in M&S, and along with my other shopping overloaded myself a bit, so had to catch the bus - which was fine 8-)

Jan that all sounds lovely, hope the rain comes xxx

Ria, it's a stunning day here, beautiful warm sunshine with a hint of autumn in the breeze 8-) 8-) xxx

Take care Osc, I think we might well be starting one here too, new restrictions for 2 million people in the NE - I guess they might affect our Gal :? :( (((x)))

Crommers, we live in strange times, so many people are not sleeping well :( (((((Hugs))))) for you and Mrs C, hope you're both sleeping better soon xxx

Jen, how is E today, and how are you doing? xxxx

Love to all xxx

Good afternoon everybody.

It is geeting warm aftera chilly start. Took three cushions off our couch to hve new inserts put in. The existing ones are soft so we are having hard ones.
Should be done tomorrow. The upholsterer as nearly 70 and has a good reputation. He wants paying in cash so have been to the bank after lunch.
Have also been to Morrisons and Tesco.
Now just relaxing.
Have a good day everybody.
