I know it is not important in the greater scheme of things, but I’m p*ssed off. It looks as if Co. Dublin will be going back into semi-lockdown before the weekend and it is almost certain that restaurants will be closed for a few weeks. It is my birthday on Saturday and ages ago, I booked a local restaurant where we traditionally go for family celebrations - not just my birthday, but that I have got through what the year threw at me and we are all well. *Sigh* looks like it will be put off for a while, not the end of the world I know, but it’s just upsetting me a bit tonight. I’ll be grand tomorrow

Our government are having a meeting this morning, as infections have rocketed over the last few days. Well, if you will let a festa go ahead, what on earth do they expect?

We had planned on going out for Keith's 73rd birthday with friends, to a restaurant I've always wanted to go to, but we've postponed it.

Could you get your cooking hubby to make you a lovely meal, for a week? That's what I'm going to do for Grumpy. A different favourite every night, for a week.

There doesn't seem any rhyme or reason to it does there Osc? In the UK we've had "eat out to help out" one minute, then a mad panic to shut Newcastle etc down the next.
I don't blame you for being upset, who wouldn't be?

I said I’d be grand today, and I am Jan, my hubby cooks a meal for me every evening Last night, he came up with a lovely idea, that we order pizzas from a nearby restaurant, someone bring ice cream, and wine or beer if they want, and we can celebrate here. So there is a very viable plan B, and he is currently making me a birthday cake which I don’t think he has ever done for me before.

His idea of a salad, when I'd just come out of hospital, in plaster, was to carefully put a pile of lettuce, with a separate pile of tomatoes and another of onions As I've never served a salad like that, I have no idea where he got the idea from

Not just Newcastle, sadly - it's the whole of the North east, all the way up to Northumberland. Started at midnight last night - up to now, the main change is you can't visit people outside of your own household.....but I am due to work tomorrow and nobody there is in my household! So it's ok to mix with strangers at work, and staff, but not to see my sister today It's soooo frustrating - IMO everything should be closed down like before, I can't see the point in having little bits like this.

Getting back to the Netflix thing - we hop aboard Kyle's account, and I would deffo be texting him if he changed his password!! So call me cheeky I did know about not needing a license if you don't watch terrestrial telly - it's not that long ago Jen didn't have a license as they watch everything via a streaming service, but then they needed to use the iplayer service so had to buy a license. They have one now.
