Good Morning Sunday

Postby JanB » 20 Sep 2020, 05:48

Morning everyone

Just getting light and should be another warm ish dry day 8-)

Will be heading into Ourique after coffee, as soon as Pingo opens, to get the next fortnights shopping. Don't need too much, basically fresh stuff and a few tins and jars. Will also take all the recycling down and get rid of that.

Back to not a lot. Grumpy needs to spray a couple more beams for the nasty beetle and we'll have another swim this afternoon.

BBQ later 8-)

Hope E and Jen had a good nights sleep and he's home as soon as he can x

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Well, that was fun

I'd checked the website before we left and yes, they open at 8.00. Got there at 8.20 to find they don't open until 8.30 :cute: :cute: So chatted in the queue about the problems with Santa Luzia and how well our council are coping.

Dreadful problems opening the dreaded bags for the fruit and veg - spent more time doing that than the shopping

One check-out open  :cute: But they opened another, but only for multibank (card) users. Me first  Then the guy pointed out that I'd spent over 75€ (how did that happen??) and would I like a free gift. Yes please. So he went over to one side and plonked a big bag, full of goodies onto the trolley and I also got three stamps for my next recipe book :Hi:

Back home to open the smelly bag. it's a cool bag, which they'd put in kitchen roll, black bin bags, washing powder for the machine and by hand, floor cleaner and a fabric softener :D All in lavender, so a bit pongy  Edited to add the serviettes, forgot them ;)

Sunshine and clouds now, but quite warm.

Toasted fried egg butties for breakfast, we've decided and have a quiet day 8-)

Any news about C Kaz?

Morning all, it’s dull with that cold east wind, although the forecast says sun :? At the moment restaurants are only allowed serve food outside, and the pub next door is very busy with people having breakfast, it was busy all day yesterday in spite of it being cold. Hard to believe that last Sunday we had breakfast there with Miss Osc and the children and it was so hot that the end of Michael’s milk went sour  Much to our surprise, given the new restrictions, there is dancing in the park today so we will head off to that later on. Right, need to tidy around.

Morning all :D

Another bright sunny day 8-)

Saundra so glad you had a lovely day with Scarlett.
Enjoy the dancing in the park Osc.

E had another good night, his temp was good for most of yesterday, but it spiked again last night. It's down a bit this morning, hoping it stays that way for the rest of today. Regarding the power and water supply, the official story is it's planned maintenance. Nobody got a wash yesterday, but they're doing the rounds so he should get one soon. Sadly the internet keeps dropping, makes video calling a bit hit and miss at the moment.

I'm very traumatised this morning, noticed a dead bird on our lawn. It's the second one just lately, and of course with E being away I had to clear it up   I've had to chase a very large ginger cat off a few times now, must belong to someone living nearby. Each time it's been up our palm tree or on top of the fence where all the birds congregate. I know it's only doing what cats do, but right now I'm feeling quite murderous.

Not a lot happening today, must do some online banking and that's about it.

Hope you all have a good day xx

It is nature isn't it Jen? It can be awful sometimes. We had a fledgling blackbird killed in our back garden by another bird this summer.
Morning all. Grey and dull here. Daughter, Eliza and sister in law are coming for dinner today at 1 pm, which will be nice. Bike racing or footie on tv this afternoon.
Have a good day all.

Afternoon everyone :)

Saundra, Jan, thanks for asking, he's feeling much better thanks and is coming on Wednesday instead, as he has a few days off work :)

Jan, freebies are always nice, and that sounds very useful 8-) :D xx

Glad you had a good day with Scarlett, Saundra :) xx

Enjoy the dancing Osc :D xx

Jen I hope the net behaves so you can talk to E! I always hated it when my mum's cats bought home little "gifts" - it's just their nature, as Crommerssays, but it is a bit upsetting :( xx

Have a nice family day Crommers :) xx

A pootling sort of day here, brunch at Corretto's, then nipped to Sainsbury's for a couple of bits - milk, fruit - then home to the chicken I'd planned for yesterday, minted new potatoes, and veg :) The washing B pegged out for me is dry, but I don't iron on Sundays so that can wait

Love to all :) xx

The dancing in the park was cancelled less than an hour beforehand. Luckily we saw it on FB and were able to tell others. We were actually surprised that it was supposed to be on given our new lockdown, so not surprised that it was cancelled.
