Good Morning Monday

Postby JanB » 21 Sep 2020, 07:05

Morning everyone

Grey and cloudy this morning, can just about see the Algarve hills  Warming up later to a very peasant 28C 8-)

Washing machine on and we'll be pulling up lavender bushes later. They multiply and grow where we don't want them to be. So that's this mornings job and I expect I'll have a wander around and pull up all the weeds that have shot up since we had the rain

Hopefully, we'll have a swim later too - although it's a bit chilly when you first get in

Hope E can get home to you this week Jen xx

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Jan!
Kevin the gas man / plumber is here. He's resealing our shower tray. He's also going to cement our back step which is a bit wobbly. We didn't ask him to do this but he will do those extra little jobs because we've known him a long time. And he is a very good plumber. I don't know how long he'll keep on though, he's 66 now.
A nice morning here, blue skies and sun. A bit chilly but it will warm up in a bit I think. Not to 28c though!
Tesco later and a trip to our daughters, that's about it.
I hope E is on the up Jen.
Have a good day all.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here.

E's had a rotten night, too much noise. His temp shot up late last night and is still up this morning. The doctor has just been to speak to him. She went loopy when she found out no one from ortho had been to see him over the weekend as promised. Apparently his blood markers are still up, not significantly but enough to cause concern. Back to them deciding on a course of action. It could be stronger oral antibiotics, an infusion or nicking his scar to drain the wound. Whatever they do, he definitely won't be home today

Not sure what I'm doing apart from general pottering and that's about it.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Hi dear Jen poor E
He probably needs different antibiotics other than oral ones
Problem is in hospital it's easy to catch more bugs
These days I hope things improve quickly for him and you it's a big worry for you both xx

Oh dear Jen, not good news.

Hope they can clear it up soonest xx

Cleaned up the bank. Must admit, although I like the lavender when in flower, it does take over. So that was three bin bags full, down to the bin and popped down to the bar for a quick coffee.

Warmed up now, will be in the pool once I've had banana in natural yoghurt and honey, prepped the chicken for dinner.

Just had a phone call from Beja Hospital  Grumpy has to see his lung doc there tomorrow afternoon. So that's a two hour round trip  Normally, she'd come down to Ourique :D

Good afternoon all, back to normal here after John’s two weeks off work. Well, I say back to normal but who can say what will happen from day to day at the moment :?

I’ve spent the morning cleaning and tidying and getting a load of washing done, and I’ve bagged up a load of rubbish in the garage that can go out as side waste with the bin tomorrow. Bill’s had two walks and it’s now warm and sunny after a foggy and drizzly start.

It’s felt like John’s been off for longer than two weeks, but then we’ve got a lot done in that time. He had a call on Thursday from work to say that he needs to be back on 5 days from this week as they’ve won two more contracts and he had to tell the one person he still had on furlough in his department that he would have to be back in work today.

Have a good day all xx

Afternoon all, it’s a gorgeous day here. I walked to the golf club with Edward then instead of my usual route back, I went for a much longer walk and really enjoyed it. I showered when I got back, had lunch and not been doing much since then.

Afternoon everyone :)

My usual Monday here, town and lunch with Em in M&S :) It started off very misty, but that all burned off by lunchtime and it's been very warm! 8-)

Jen, that's rotten, I am sorry :( I hope stronger antibiotics do the trick, so that E can come home xxx

Jan all that lavender sounds lovely, but I guess you don't need it taking over ;) xxx

Jo, apparently BJ is making a statement tomorrow, I do hope we don't go back into lockdown :? xxx

Osc that sounds very pleasant :) xxx

Saundra that made me giggle, as you say why have a caravan when you already live at the seaside :? :P  xxx

Very handy to have a friendly plumber, Crommers :D xxx

Love to all xxx
