Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 24 Sep 2020, 05:09

Good morning.

Temps forecast for low 30s. Yesterday got really hot so I spent the day mostly in the pool. Or reading/sleeping.

Work today and will meet Don when I finish at 7 for a beer and dinner out. :D

Have a great day.

Best wishes for E Jen. xxx

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Dull and grey start, as normal, but it will brighten up and warm up later 8-) But we had some rain over night - not expecting that  but saves watering the garden :D The daytime temperatures are lovely, but from tonight, the night time one's go down about 5C, so will be pulling the bedspread over us from now on.

General pootling again for us, nothing panned, see how the day goes, although chatting with a friend via video on messenger this afternoon.

Hope our patient had a good night - not really possible in hospital - and Jen too x

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Ally and Jan. It's a foul morning here, grey and rainy.
We have Eliza again; she woke up every hour last night so her mum is like a zombie this morning. She has to work today as well.
Off to Sainsbury's shortly then I have to get the car insured.
I hope E had a better night. Hospitals can be poor places for a good night's sleep.
Have a good day all.

Good morning, it’s sunny now after a wet start. It’s not very warm though, still in single figures.

I’m taking Bill out now that it’s brightened up. No plans otherwise but there’s always something to do.

Have a good day all!

Good morning everybody.

We had rain earlier, but the sun is trying to come out. Have been to have my haircut again. Forst one in at 9.00 a.m.
Just pootling today. Will be using my printer which I have managed to fix it.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all, I was woken just before 6.30 by a torrential shower of rain, but I did get back to sleep in and off until 8.30. Not raining now but it looks damp out although the sun has peeped through once or twice. We have the children today, I’ll collect Kellie at 1.40 and Michael doesn’t need to be collected any more. Edward is making what look like rock buns :) Better go and do some chores. Hope E had a good night.

Morning all :D

Wet and windy.

E's temp and blood markers are still up so the all purpose antibiotic infusions don't seem to be working. After much dithering he's finally gone off to have the aspiration, hope it's not too ghastly for him, rolling over causes extreme pain.

I have a 2.40pm gyne appointment at our local hospital, the referral was done back in Jan!!!

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good afternoon, all. Thoughts for E and yourself, Jen ....

Quite nice this morning (showery now) so walked up the river path to the pharmacy for the monthly repeat prescriptions. There seems to have been quite a lot of erosion of the banks over the last month or so; undercutting during the inevitable fast flow after the heavy rains of late, I suspect (and I'm not sure but there's a small dam upstream at Gasper which I think they have to "release" every now and then when the lake behind gets full). Small beer, I know, we're not talking about Whaley Bridge or Ladybower here :D , but anyway, the footpath has subsided and the fencing posts toppled, so a bit of shoring up work needs to be done. Shame, as the country park area has just received a Green Flag award. Also, the cost of it goes on the town council rates  !

As the summer seems to be over, we decided to harvest our tomato crop just before lunch. The return, from 13 plants, was as follows:

Tomatoes (red) : 2 :)
Tomatoes (green) : approaching 100 (!), 1.6kg in weight

I hope you did better, Meriad!

Anyway, it looks like Bramley apple and tomato chutney-making on Sunday and Monday .... :cute:

Have a good day!
