Good morning Friday

Postby meriad » 25 Sep 2020, 08:15

goodness, gone 9am and I'm the first :D (I think :? :D )

Good morning everyone, happy Friday. A quick spot of work and then heading into Guildford for brunch with Nadine and possibly a bit of shopping; I mean why not :D

Then home to clean. My niece from Germany is coming over for a week holiday - the UK / Germany combination is one of the few options that seems to be OK and she really needs a break away from things. She's a chiropractor and has been working incredibly long hours and just needs to chill for a bit. So we're planning a relaxed week of a few walks, lunches and not much more.

I haven't been online for a few days apologies so need to catch up on everyone's news; but hope everyone is well?

xx

Good morning Saundra and all, it’s sunny but windy and quite chilly this morning. I went out to the bin before taking Bill for his walk and decided that gloves and a warm coat were needed.

There’ll be washing to hang out shortly, can’t hoover until the filter that I cleaned last night has dried.

Have a good day all :D

Hi Ria, I didn’t see your post! I just saw Friday in a title and clicked on that

Yes, hope you manage to get everything you’ve ordered Saundra. It was just tinned tomatoes that were completely out of stock on my Tesco delivery, they didn’t even substitute them with another brand. Aldi were well stocked up though so I got them from there. I use them quite often in cooking so get through a few tins each week.

I've merged the threads :) 8-)

Ria have a lovely time with your niece :D xx

Hope you get everything you want Saundra xxx

It's chilly here too Jo! :? xx

I'm currently in town, just stopped for a cuppa and a breather. I have ironing waiting for me at home, but I'm going to pop in on D on the way back as we tried to register her online via Lloyds for her much-needed flu jab, and are awaiting the online form for her to register. The GP surgery can't do it for at least another fortnight so we asked in Sainsbury's yesterday and were told no walk-in appointments this year, you must register online. She's fretting about it a bit so if it's arrived I would rather do it for her today, than wait until tomorrow. Peace of mind for her.

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Good afternoon all.
Getting quite windy now and none too warm here as well Jo.
This morning I got a dozen eggs from an ex neighbour who has a smallholding and got MrsC a £10 O2 top up.
Later we are going to put a stair gate up for when Eliza comes to stay tomorrow night.
The council were supposed to be doing a temporary repair to the entrance to our cul de sac today but they haven't shown up. No surprise there.
Scrambled eggs and bacon for tea, yum!
Kaz, we are going to have the flu jab too this year (first time for me), we were thinking about going to Asda for it.
That sounds like a good idea for your niece Ria. :)
I hope Morrisons have all you need Saundra.
Fingers crossed E had a better night.
Have a good day all.
