Good morning, it’s breezy, grey and drizzly here. The forecast seems slightly better than it was when I checked last night though.

No real plans today. I started a jigsaw yesterday so I’ll do some more of that. We framed one yesterday which I did earlier in the year. It’s of an A-Z map on Central London, I’d intended framing it and managed to break it into quarters ready to get a frame but then Covid happened and I couldn’t get the frame I wanted and once Ikea reopened the flippin’ frame went out of stock. It’s a big frame, 3ft x 2ft, and looks really good on the wall in the home office.

Cottage pie for lunch today, and then hopefully it’ll dry up enough for a walk.

Have a good day all :D

Good morning all, it is a miserable wet day and not forecast to get any better. The pub next door has optimistically put out its tables and chairs under the awnings but the rain is coming in sideways so the furniture is getting wet anyway. No plan for the day at all, I have a book to finish and I’d like to get back to knitting, I don’t have the urge to do it at the moment. Hope Jen and E had some sleep, they must both be exhausted.

Afternoon all :D

Wet and miserable here.

E didn't arrive home until 8.30ish last night so was absolutely exhausted. Made him some supper and got him off to bed quite early. We're both tired today so having a quiet day. It's a tremendous effort for him to stand let alone walk far, right now he needs help to do anything that involves standing. Thank goodness I did buy the toilet frame and perching stool for washing him, we'd have been stuffed without them. Things are going to be quite tough for a while yet, I definitely won't be able to leave him in the house alone. Never mind, we'll soon get into a routine, I'm just so thankful to have him home.

He's due to see his hip surgeon at the RNOH on the 14th so hopefully we'll know more about his re-op then. It obviously won't be as soon as originally planned, he has to be monitored for the next couple of months and our doctor has been asked to arrange a CT scan in 6/8 weeks time so they can check if the embolism is dispersing successfully. I'm pretty sure Mr.P will want to see him back to good health before attempting what will be a big operation again.

Not much happening today, I've got a bag of washing he brought home to get done and various other jobs. I popped a casserole into the slow cooker so at least tonight's dinner's taken care of.

Hope you're all having a good day, many thanks for thinking of us xx

He's got a walking frame and crutches that Barnet supplied, but they wouldn't arrange anything else. It's all NHS politics, apparently the Barnet trust don't have a reciprocal agreement with Kent, that's the reason I went ahead and bought the frame and stool, saved a lot of time not to mention hassle.
